There was an exhibition on Ikebana at the JAS(Japanese Association Singapore) yesterday, so I went along with my CCA group, the Japanese Cultural Club from SP to take a look. After all I was kinda curious since I have not been to such an exhibition yet.
I was expecting a crowd at the exhibition, but when we arrived there,we were like 99% of the people attending the exhibition. Maybe we went too early.

Alright, enough of talk. Time for the pictures. By the way,if you haven’t realised, this post is of no relation to anime , so if you find this boring, feel free to close this browser window.
The nice Japanese lady who did this flower arrangement was around when we were looking around, so we asked her to tell us a bit more about ikebana as well as her arrangement. Her english was pretty good,so we could understand pretty much everything she said.See the pot that is used in this arrangement? The lady said that she made the pot at a course in a community centre. This arrangement is kind of unique, like some of the other ones I posted below. The lady also explained to us the different styles of ikebana, and some of the schools. Seems like ikebana is one thing that I would never be able to pick up. I just don’t have the patience to do so.
I shall not bother you further, enjoy the other arrangements below.

Sorry if the pictures are not too clear. They were taken with my 2megapixel 803t.
