I can’t seem to think of what to write, and I’ll be going to a 4-day camp on Tuesday, so it’ll mean no updates for a long time. So, I’ve decided to write on something that just came randomly to my mind.
I’ve just finished watching Cowboy Bebop just recently. It’s a really action-packed anime. Watching it reminds me of when I was watching Black Lagoon, especially since the last episodes of both titles have a somewhat similar scene. In Cowboy Bebop, Spike and Vicious face off, while Revy and Gin do the same in Black Lagoon. In both fights, Spike and Revy used guns and Vicious and Gin used katanas. And what makes the two fights similar is the way they fight. The two using guns charge towards the sword-users and try to fight them at melee range.
I can’t screenshot the 2 scenes as my computer seems to have a problem doing so. But I suppose those of you who have watched the 2 titles would know how similar they are. Anyway,for those of you who have not watched Black Lagoon and Cowboy Bebop,I suggest you do so right away.
Anyway,I wonder who would win if Revy and Spike face off against each other. Who do you bet on winning?
I think it would be pretty much a draw, both of them injured but cannot win over the other.
I mean, there are no series, when the female lead character was allowed to lose to a guy. And Spike is too cool and too trained, and too laid back to lose. Maybe a bit like it was when Revy and Roberta did their face off….
Anyway, it would be cool to see that match.
Hm, I’m still surprised that the two series are so similar, though…
Although I would want Revy to win vs Spike.. I think Spike would have the upperhand when they both run out of bullets..
it’s a difficult match indeed.
Revy’s a duel hander with experience in just about any use of weapon and even without, she can still beat an opponant.
Spike is mostly a single handed gun slinger with experience in quit a number of weaponry, without he is an accomplished, seasoned, martialartist with experience, superb foot work, quick hands and a strength to back them both.
not to mention the both cowboys (well cowboy and a cowgirl) fighting for life.
Spike. i put my money on him. marksman and martialartist, revy’s close but still out-matched.

i prefer revy over spike though…
she can use two guns simultaneously and can fight well.. seeing how she fought rubella, i really laughed my socks off..
spike,on the other hand,seems mature and calm headed at times but there’s something about revy that just makes the audience think there’s a blood thirsty side of her…especially on the episode they slightly showed about her childhood.
Spike would win
because:
-He is a MAN
-i think Revy and Spike are quite equal in thier gun skills but spike has the hand to hand skills, which Revy hasn’t
that’s why Spike would win in a 2 hour match hahaha
The problem is that Revy and Spike are both stars of their respective shows. That is clouding your judgement as Revy is NOT the gun fighter most like Spike. That would be Chang.
Since Chang would be an even fight with Spike, Revy would lose to Spike. Chang is considered to be the best gunfighter in Black Lagoon. Revy even admits to it.
So Spike beats Revy in a fight
Spike and Chang both die in a fight
If you really wanted a good fight for Revy, it would be with Eda. As Eda plays down her skills a lot and can take Roberta. (not in the cartoon series yet)
Spike could have taken Vicious without dying as well, but without Julia, why would he want too.
