Finally, the supposedly last 2 episodes of Code Geass have aired.I had pretty high hopes for it since there was a great hype over it. Too bad I was quite disappointed by it. Sure, the battle scenes were cool, but I felt that the ending sucks. Sunrise, stop leaving the viewers not knowing who died and which faction won the war, dammit. Looks like there will be season 2… So much for the wait for the ending…
Oh, and Code Geass is seriously overrated…

I was looking around on websites such as amiami to see if there are any new figurine releases and announcement, and realised that there are a few anime characters that I wished for to be released as figurines, but there isn’t even the slightest news of them so far.
Currently, these are the top 3 characters that I would be hoping for to be released as figurines.
1.Clare from Claymore
2.Hei from Darker than Black
3.Yin
Read on as to why I feel figurines of the mentioned characters should be produced.

Just a few days ago,my sister hosted some primary school Japanese kids who came from Yamaga City. The duo who stayed in my house for 3 days were primary six boys.We had quite a great time together trying to communicate with each other, despite the language barrier. My command of the Japanese language is so poor that I can barely communicate with them. Although I was not the main host, I felt that I played a more active role in interacting with the 2, as compared to my sister.
Anyway, just a few hours ago, we went to send the Japanese students off at Changi Airport.

さよなら
The Japanese students are those in yellow caps.Oh,and if you are looking for me in this picture,I’m not in it.
This experience is indeed a refreshing one. How often do you get to stay under the same roof with students of another nationality.
I can’t wait for my exchange programme in Chiba this September. Although the home stay will be only for 1 night,I’m eagerly looking forward to it.Hopefully by then,my Japanese communication skills would have improved so that communicating would be slightly easier. It should be fun, from what I’ve heard so far.
Only thing I’m dreading about the Chiba trip is Disneyland/sea.It has been engraved in my mind as a place where you queue for 2 hours just for a 3 minute ride. I’ll find some way to sneak out and go to Akiba instead,I hope. *crosses fingers*
Look what I brought home today:

I managed to get 2 of my most wanted figurines. Now, I still have like 10 more figurines I want to get,but I’ll have to wait for the my wallet to get fatter before I can do so.

Looks like Summer is coming to an end soon, but not that it matters anyway since Singapore is summer 24/7.
A good way to commemorate the summer of 2007 would be to attend this year’s Natsumatsuri at the Japanese School Changi Campus. It’s my first time attending such an event,so I have no idea how fun or interesting it is. I’m going there as a helper.
This year’s Natsumatsuri is held on 25/8,which is a Saturday, beginning at 6pm. I read that tickets can be purchased at the entrance of the school on the day itself,at $10,which comes together with $10 worth of coupons that can be spent at the event. Buying the tickets at the entrance is not advised though,as the queue would most likely be long.

I realise that I like the same type of anime girls : Those who are so quiet and weird that they become so hot. Of course, there’s one exception of an anime girl that I like that isn’t such a type : Revy from Black Lagoon. But that’s a different story.
Anyway, here are my top 3 favourite anime girls:

I’m seriously screwed. I ordered from Benny thinking that shipping was gonna be cheap, and who knew it was 1000 yen per figurine. After the external and internal shipping, some of the items i bought had prices which are totally insane.
I’m going to owe him an amount close to 1000 Singapore Dollars. And thats for only a few figurines and gashapons. I feel fucking stupid now. And what makes it worse is that I bought many things which were on impulse. I don’t even know what I can say now. I won’t order from overseas anymore. Dammit.

Gintama 34 was totally hilarious. The Densha Otoko parody in this epiosde was pretty much interesting. Eromes LOL. And Shinpachi’s pretty violent for the Densha Otoko role.

For those who do not know the story of Densha Otoko,it’s about this otaku who saved a pretty young lady from a drunkard on the train, and how a love blossomed out of that mere incident.

I’m pretty sure cases like this happen only 0.01% in a lifetime. I mean, how often do you see a drunkard on a train harassing a bishoujo, you rescuing her,and you going out with her on a date after that. And I’m quite certain that the Densha Otoko story was all hoax(as said in Akihabara@Deep). If it isn’t, then either the girl must be ugly,or the guy must have been really lucky.

I have to say, this is why I hate the typical Singaporean.

Some parents have complained about these figurines being sold in gashapon dispensing machines somewhere in the neighbourhood in Sengkang. I was so close to laughing out loud in public upon chancing on this snippet.

I thought I wouldn’t go for the Cosfest 2007 finals, but I just went after camp anyway. It was a long ride, taking more than an hour from school, but I felt it was worth it. Anyway,I took lesser pictures than Day 1. But the finals had much more skilled/better looking cosplayers. Still, there were traps who were cosplaying, but it didn’t really matter much, since there were only a few.
The ones which i felt were good are as follows:
