Looks like Haruhi is coming back onto TV in Japan.
My friend whom I met in Japanese class kept insisting that Haruhi Season 2 would definitely be aired,but since I was not really much a fan of Haruhi, it didn’t really matter much to me.
Season 2 means more hawt Haruhi X Mikuru action
(Not that I’m interested in this kind of stuff anyway)

So far,the only character I truly liked in The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi is Nagato. I preordered a figurine of Ryok,but that was a preorder done on impulse. After all,I couldn’t preorder the MaxFactory Nagato. Bj0rn said that he’ll keep a lookout for me,but if I still don’t manage to get it,I guess I’ll turn to Yahoo Japan Auctions. Else,I’ll be praying for a re-release of it. I just have to get that work of beauty!

There’s a fair chance they’ll use the fourth novel as the core for this season (Volume 2 is also a possibility, but it’s not nearly as powerful as 4), then toss in the usual crop of shorter arcs using material from Volume 3.
I’ll try not to get my hopes up, though. We’ve all been burned by second-season announcements before (some of them “official”), so let’s keep our eyes peeled for an explicit, unambiguous statement from the studio.

I’m sure I wasn’t seeing things - Seiya of Heisei Democracy saw the video too, although via the official site.
