This is Day 1 of Cosfest 2007. The Cosfest happens to be part of the Tanjong Pagar GRC FIESTA @ Orchard,with the Guest of Honor Being Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew.
The event began at 4pm,starting with the cosplay competetion,which was actually stage performances by the different teams that participate. I did not manage to take very good photos for all the teams that were on stage due to 2 reasons. The podium which was in the center of the stage,and the large number of photographers on at the base of the stage. Every 2 photos I took,at least one would have a head or part of the podium in it -.-
Hence,I picked the better looking photos to post. This is by no means a complete coverage of all the teams,but it’s definitely better than nothing. Enjoy!

That’s all for the Cosplay Competition.I thought the best one was the Haruhi team which performed a dance to Motteke! Sailor Fuku,although I wouldn’t consider it as very well done.The other teams were doing skits. After that I went roaming around the compound, looking for cosplayers to take photos of. Once again,enjoy!
Out of all the cosplayers,I think my favourite few are the Rider from Fate/Stay Night,the lady with the umbrella(I have no idea what character she is),the lady in the white cheongsam with the golden pattern(also no idea what character she is) ,and the DannyChoo look-alikes aka Stormtroopers.
MM Lee came down at roughly before 7pm to deliver a speech.
He’s the reason why the security for the event is so tight,with the police spot checking everyone who entered the event premises.That is probably a good thing,with the safety of the public assured.
Also,I managed to spot a certain anime blogger. No prizes for guessing who.
Alright,thats all for the coverage of the 7th July Cosfest event at Ngee Ann City. I won’t be going for the Cosfest on the 14th,but would definitely go for the one on the 15th. Stay tuned next week for more photos. Oh,and I have definitely got to improve my photography skills by next week. >.<
