Gintama 34 was totally hilarious.The Densha Otoko parody in this epiosde was pretty much interesting. Eromes LOL. And Shinpachi’s pretty violent for the Densha Otoko role.
For those who do not know the story of Densha Otoko, it’s about this otaku who saved a pretty young lady from a drunkard on the train,and how a love blossomed out of that mere incident.
I’m pretty sure cases like this happen only 0.01% in a lifetime. I mean,how often do you see a drunkard on a train harassing a bishoujo, you rescuing her,and you going out with her on a date after that. And I’m quite certain that the Densha Otoko story was all hoax (as said in Akihabara@Deep). If it isn’t, then either the girl must be ugly, or the guy must have been really lucky.
Also,seeing Densha Otoko change from an otaku into someone normal is kind of disappointing.I mean,I would not give up being an otaku just for the sake of love. I would love my partner more than my hobby,but being in a relationship doesn’t have to mean that you have to make drastic changes to yourself. If that’s the case,then I wouldn’t even go out with that girl,since she can’t accept me for who I am.

I bet every otaku’s dream is to get an above-average looking girlfriend who accepts him as who he is,or even better,is of the same breed as him. Of course,getting one especially the latter,can be quite a challenging task,which is which is why most otakus stay single.
I think that the only good thing about staying single would be freedom. You could go anywhere you wanted without having to worry much,and do just about anything you wanted to do.

Aw, come on, that’s really harsh about Densha_Otoko. After all, he didn’t give up his way of life. He was still a 2chan geek. All he did was do the amazing thing of both being otaku, AND clean up his appearance and take some pride in himself. After all, how does he win Hermes back? He uses his l33t computer skills to get her a good computer, yes?
