If you have watched any of the Full Metal Panic,be it season 1,Fumoffu or The Second Raid, you would have known about this lass. She did all the OPs and EDs for the entire Full Metal Panic anime series. All the OPs and EDs that she sang were really good. Out of all of them,my favourites in no particular order are tomorrow(OP for Season 1),枯れない花(ED for Season 1) and もう一度君に会いたい(ED for TSR). Other good ones include それが愛でしょう and 南風.

I’ve always thought that her voice was superb, and listening to her latest album さよならも言えなかった夏 just confirmed my opinion of her voice. Her voice is really soothing, yet at the same time lively. Also, she’s quite pretty.

Anyway, here are some of my opinions on the tracks in her latest album:

- 二人のカメラ : One of my favourite songs. The tune is really catchy, and the lyrics are pretty simple to understand. And out of all the songs,I find that her voice stands out most in this song.
- さよならも言えなかった夏
- 藍色の空の下で : The tune is soothing. Together with her voice, this song is like a lullaby.
- ubiquitous
- キミの願い :Another catchy song. Another of my favourite song due to it being easy to listen to.
- my home
- 南風 : Heard it before this album was released as it was FMP TSR’s OP,and didn’t really like it,probably since I often compared it to the first season’s OP,tomorrow. Still,it’s a pretty good song.
- Bird -album mix-
- もう一度君に会いたい : I used to skip the ED of FMP TSR,but once I heard this song in this album,I was immediately hooked onto it.
- アルタイル
- さよならの終わりに: A slower song compared to the other ones in this album. It has a soothing effect on me. I should not listen to this song on the train,or I might fall asleep and miss my stop lol

Pardon my lack of coverage for all the songs. I decided to express some of my opinions on the songs which I felt were better.

The tunes of her songs are although simple yet catchy. But the main reason why I listen to her is for her voice. After all, that’s the main attraction of her songs.

Also, she writes some of her lyrics, which is pretty cool. As she’s just supposed to be a J-pop singer,I felt that it was an added bonus that she writes some of her lyrics. It would have been better if she written all the lyrics and composed her own songs though.

Overall, this album is indeed very pleasing to the ears and is recommended due to the songs being easy to listen to.Definitely an album I am going to purchase when I head over to Chiba for my exchange programme in September.
