Furu Anime Panikku

This show is total awesomeness.

I thought that the show would suck after the manly Kamina’s death,but I was totally wrong.Simon proved to be much more of a man than Kamina.And Kamina’s death only made the show more interesting.

There were quite a number of epic scenes so far,such as the one with Kamina dying after defeating a beastman commander,as well as the part with Simon drilling a hole through Lord Genome.The 2 mentioned are my favourites so far.

The artwork for this series is also kind of unique,and does not really rely much on CGI despite it being a mecha series. Oh,and the mecha designs are pretty unique,which increases my liking for it.After all,no one wants to see gundam-looking mecha in a non-gundam anime.

At the start of the series,many people complained about an episode(the one with the appearance of the Kittan and his sisters),flaming it on online forums about how poor quality it was. I,however,thoguht that that episode was pretty much alright. I am sure it didn’t deserve the amount of flaming.

The only thing I do not like about Tegen Toppa Gurren Lagann would be the recap episodes.There were 2 so far,if I remember correctly. I felt that although it would be beneficial for those who did not watch the series from the start,it would be a pure waste of time for those who have been following the series since episode one.

Nia is not hawt

Gurren Lagann requires more Yoko though.Ever since she left the scene after Lord Genome’s death,the show begins to lack eye-candy. She is my favourite female character in the anime(not that there are any other nice looking females in it >_>,Nia is totally not even 0.01% hawt) and I have even preordered a sassy looking figurine of her.Hope to see her back in the show soon.

The current arc of Gurren Lagann is seriously interesting and addictive that it makes me want to watch on and know more.Now that Simon is imprisoned and awaiting execution in the same jail cell as his long time “buddy”,Viral,I would like to see how Simon gets out of this mess and kicks Rossiu’s arse. Rossiu has been an ass anyway,giving the command to execute Simon,who is the leader of the the Dai Gurren Lagann Dan. I bet all he wants to do is have absolute power over the government,which I think he already has obtained.

Anyway,for those who have not watched this anime,please do so. It’s total ownage,and probably one of the best few currently airing series. Watching this is so much more worth your time than watch lame-ass stuff such as Lucky Star.
