Just when I thought that queuing for the day was finally over,I was wrong. It was time the second half of the day’s event,Natsumatsuri. And to think I was a little worn out from the Charafest already. Yes,I am weak.
Anyway,I met up with my CCA at EXPO for the marking of attendance before taking the chartered bus to the Japanese Primary School.
This was what greeted me when I joined the entrance queue.

Just when I thought the queue was over, there was more…

Finally made it in after roughly half an hour of queuing. But,it was not the end. With the map of the area given to us,we had to start queuing for our food before it ran out. We decided to go to get bento for dinner. Then,we settled down at the field,on the red and white striped groundsheets, and began eating.
The bento was horrible.Everything sucked, aside from the dango. If I do go again next year,I will never get the bento again.
At the same time, there were performances on the stage, which was right in the middle of the field. Daiko drums and hip-hop dancing were some of the performances.

Majority of the people sat on the steps or the groundsheets, due to the limited number of tables.

The sky soon became overcasted with grey clouds, and it started to drizzle.

Fortunately,it only maintained at a slight drizzle, and there was no downpour which would have dampened the mood.
After dinner,we walked around the school, browsing the stores, getting some snacks and drinks. Ramune was good ^^

The croquette was quite good. Much better than the ones at Sake Sushi.
While wandering around,I met some people who attended the Charafest earlier on.However,we only talked a little before parting separate ways to enjoy the festival.
Some of my friends wanted to trying the goldfish catching game.

However,as you can see from above, the queue was too long,so decided not to join the crowd.
Soon,it was the Bon Odori, and many people started to join the mass dance around the stage. We just stood and watched from the stairs.
At 8.30,it was time to start work. After all,we were given free tickets and a free shirt, not for nothing. Some helpers moved the tables and chairs, stacking them neatly into piles, while the rest picked up litter. As there was quite a large number of us,the job was done quite efficiently.
The best part of helping was the free Asahi beer. They wanted to clear what they had left,so they just passed cups of beer around to the helpers, not bothering if those who were drinking were 18 and above. I drank anyway, and I regretted.

This shall be my first and last time drinking beer. It sucks. Wine and vodka tastes better.
At around 10.30pm,we left the area, slightly worn out,and head for home sweet home.
Overall, the Natsumatsuri was quite an experience.I would definitely like to go again next year.

Thanks such a great time I will have to make time to go.
What?! No pictures of Japanese girls?
Haha,I’ll wait for your pictures instead ^^
