Furu Anime Panikku

Finally, Gainax didn’t do what it did with Evangelion. The last episode of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann was totally awesome. Not like some stupid 2 episode self reflection and a final congratulating session by the entire cast. The Evangelion TV series’ ending was pretty stupid. The End of Evangelion, however, is pure ownage. If the End of Evangelion is 100% epic, then so is the final episode of Gurren Lagann.

Tears of passion almost flowed out during the final battle with the Anti-spirals. And who said anime cannot be as emotional as real life?

Also, the last part of the final episode, 20 years later after everyone has aged, was a pretty cool touch to end the series. I have also learned something from the last episode. If you don’t want to age, be a homosexual. Look at Leeron, 20 years and he still looks the same. WTF?! He’s a freak, I tell you.

Anyway, it was a good thing they didn’t run out budget for the last few episodes of Gurren Lagann, like what they did for Evangelion. Now, all I have got to hope is that Gainax does a job as awesome as Gurren Lagann, or ever better, for the Rebuild of Evangelion movies.

And since Gainax is mentioned, I would also like to say that FLCL rocked. Totally. The 6 episodes made me laugh just slightly lesser than Full Metal Panic Fumoffu. You can imagine how funny it is.

So, what are my future expectations of Gainax?Basically, I only have 2 expectations. First, more great series in the future. Hopefully, the future series would be better, or at least as awesome as Gurren Lagann or the End of Evangelion. Second, quality Evangelion merchandise please!!!
