There are only a few shows that I have picked up this Fall, and Kaiji is one of the new anime series that is currently one of the top of my must watch list. Genshiken 2’s first episode has been quite a let down, considering the lack of references and humor. Hopefully, it’ll turn for the better. You’re Under Arrest: Full Throttle has been great so far. As for Gundam 00, I thought that it was going to be some gayass anime, but I have been proved otherwise. I have wronged G00! Anyway, these are currently the top 4 anime series on my must watch list.
Let me cut the crap short and go to the main topic.
In my opinion, Kaiji is somewhat like the 2D animated version of the Liar Game Live Action. The second episode has some similar parts to Lair Game. In the second episode, Kaiji gets conned by some confident guy into teaming up so that they can both maintain their 3 star status.
