Genshiken 2 is really slow paced, and too serious. It’s lacking far too much in the humor department. I wouldn’t really know how fast or slow the pace is, as I stopped reading the manga at where the OVAs ended so that I could fully enjoy the series. After all, the previous season and the OVAs were faithful to the manga. Looks like I might just pick up the manga and finish it instead of waiting for the anime.
Anyway, speaking of which, the one and only thing which I felt was decently interesting would be the opening animation. The ending sequence of Genshiken 2 was too similar to the previous season’s ending animation.

Nice Mobile Suit look alike with the face mask that’s in the OP. And I like how Sasahara and Madarame go head to head against each other. The OP song isn’t too bad too. “Disarm dreamer”, sung by Aki Misato. The animation is quite amazing too.
But, let’s just hope that the OP animation isn’t the only think that I look forward to for each episode of Genshiken 2.
It’ll get better - storywise, at least. For my part, I’m looking forward to seeing the Ogi-chin arc animated.
I hope it’ll get better too…
