I know of some collectors who collect certain figurines just because they are nice, but have never actually watched the anime/ played the game that the character is in. And most of this people are Bishoujo purist collectors. Most of the time, these group of people are safe, despite not knowing the background of the character. At least they are buying female figurines.
However, this is not often true. Take this figurine for example:
A pretty bishoujo right? That’s what I first though, since I never played Guilty Gear. To me, it was quite an aesthetically pleasing work of art. But doing some probing about the character’s background, I was quite taken aback. She has a stick and 2 balls. WTF!!!
It’s the same as telling a girl that she is pretty, and her reply is “I’m of the same gender as you.” I have never experienced such a thing in real life before, and I certainly would not want to.
Anyway, kudos to the the creators of Guilty Gear, for creating such a character and promoting bisexuality. You guys rock.
And for those who buy it in March 2008, everytime you pass by your display shelf and sneak and peek at Bridget, don’t forget to smack yourself real hard on the forehead, feel the regret flow through ever inch of your bloodstream and scream “WTF why did I buy a guy dressed as a girl?!?!”.
LOL, just kidding. Relax, at least she he is pleasing to the eye. Just don’t remind yourself that she is actually a he, and all the anguish will be gone =)

Now show a Mizuho figurine from Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru to someone who’s not familiar with the game/show and they’ll believe he’s a girl the first minute! XD … I still can’t figure out how Shion-neesama figured it out so quickly when he fooled everyone else in the first two eps o.o

Bridget is beautiful! I think it’s wonderful that they have her at all. I don’t know why it’s a big deal either. I mean, you all know there are different people in the world… I mean… everyone knows Bridget is a guy. I don’t know anything about the game, but I know Bridget is a man. I mean, especially when you look at all the little anime girls… they are have BREASTS… even when they’re tiny, they have very notable breasts. I think it should put your ears up. I mean, it’s like walk into a gay bar called Lucy’s and then being taken aback when you realize it’s full of drag queens. It’s just one of those moment’s when you smack your forehead and go, “DUH!”
If you really research on Bridget, you’ll see that he has an interesting past and explanation for looking like a girl and stuff. Haha. Besides, what’s the problem if all you’re looking for is eye candy? XD

“everyone is gay for Bridget” is a popular phrase said every time someone finds out or is against the cuteness Bridget possesses unknowingly ignoring the fact Bridget is not a she, cause she hasa girl’s name, body, personality as well, and base side purity (for the most part)

btw the storyline to explain why Bridget dresses and acts like a girl is, he and his twin brother were born in a village where it’s bad luck to have twins of the same sex born. So to hide the fact, Bridget was raised as a girl his whole life and thus comes to up that cute result. I’m a guy, I say he’s cute to the point its dangerous.
