The fifth DVD of Gurren Lagann was released a few weeks ago, and I finally got it. There was the regular edition as well as the limited release edition. A cookie for anyone who guessed which one I got my hands on.

The Limited Release came with an extra casing and an audio dorama CD. As you can see from the pictures above, the cover for the extra casing is has a rather cool look. I have gone through the dorama cd once, but due to my lack of Japanese understanding, I am unable to make out much of what I hear. I really need to raise my level in Japanese proficiency in order to fully enjoy this.
Anyway, the battle “scenes” emit a fair amount of GARness despite it being sound only, and Leeron is equally as gay in this dorama CD.
As this dorama CD is only limited to the DVD release, I figured that not many fans would be able to enjoy it. As such, I have decided to upload it here for the time being so that Gurren Lagann fans would not miss out on this.
There seems to be a part 2 for this audio dorama which is to be released with another volume. Look like we’ll have to wait for that.
Here is my current Gurren Lagann DVD collection as of now. Now, I just need 4 more DVDs to complete the entire set.
The Art style reminds me of Anime Tenchou…
