Looks like this action figure came in early. It was supposed to be officially released on the day that marks the start of 2008, but I was rather delighted that it came just before Christmas. Not that I celebrate Christmas anyway…
Activity: Count the number of Reis in the photo below

No I didn’t buy 2. This image is photoshopped.
With my camera back to my side, I decided to take a few shots.
Enjoy this unprofessional review. Please refrain from clawing your eyes out because of the poor quality photos.
Of course, the caption for the photo above is a true as describing Shinji as a courageous young man who doesn’t fap to unconscious orange-haired tsunderes.

This is what I have been looping for the past few days ever since Bump of Chicken’s new album’s latest album was released a few days ago, on the 19th of December. Just in time for Christmas ^^

17 tracks and 1 hidden track. Let me do a brief run through all the 18 tracks. Of course, I have selected some music samples that would be provided. After all, what good is a music review without the readers being able to listen to the music firsthand?

I’ve always been troubled by this question.
Whenever I make some anime related purchases, half of the time, I have a hard time deciding whether or not I should unwrap the item and use it. I’m sure many fellow anime fans have the same problem too.
It’s contradicting, really. You want to use the item because you spent your cash on it and maximize its purpose of usage, but at the same time, another half of you says no, fearing that you might accidentally damage the item
Here are some examples of my decisions on some anime merchandise that I own :

Under the influence of my friends, I requested for a free Ubuntu installation disc online. That was weeks ago.
And I totally forgot about it. That is, until the package just arrived in my mailbox.

This is nothing to be excited about, but I find it rather cool that the package made it safely into my box. After all, some of my friends never received their package despite a long wait.

Stickers and the Installation Disc
I have never tried running Ubuntu before, but I have tried my hand at Unix using by running Backtrack2 from a live CD. The interface was a rather refreshing change, I must say.
From what I heard from my friends who have used Ubuntu, they commented that the 4 desktops on 1 PC element was rather cool. All you needed to do was to just click and swipe the mouse across the screen and you would be on the next desktop.
Alright, enough of talk. I shall go play around with Ubuntu now.

So the name of the second season of Suzumiya Haruhi has been confirmed. Suzumiya Haruhi no Shoushitsu. Meh. The title of this post sounds like a much better name for the new season, doesn’t it?

Woohoo!!! Look, Nagato’s the main character!!!
Why does Haruhi have to be the main character? Why can’t Yuki steal the limelight and cast Haruhi into oblivion? The world is simply unfair.

Here are some random thoughts when anime blogging comes to mind.
And don’t mind the pictures. They are merely there to ease the strain of your eyes.

I realised something. When I meet up with many of the people from SGAB in real life, half the time, I have no idea what they are talking about. It seems that the anime that the majority watch and the anime that I watch does not tally.
I choose anime that I view selectively, only watching those series that are of interest to me. With my tastes being rather unlike those of the masses, I tend to select only action or comedy anime. Those with cool unique mechas would be definitely included on my must-watch list too.
The lack of time would also hinder me from covering a wide genre of anime, hence allowing me to only pick only anime that would give me certain enjoyment. As a result, I tend to leave out some, or should I say many, popular anime.

Remeber eveyone’s favourite Melon Pan that our dearest Shana-tan totally adores? It looks rather delicious in the anime right? The crispy crust and soft fluffy inner filling, together with the taste of fresh melon pulp. Oishii ne?

Today, I shall uncover the myth of the delicious Melon Pan. This melon pan that I am about to consume will reveal the truth.

Bookmark 2 out of 20
This happened to be my loot of the day for EOY 2007. $15 for 20 bookmarks was a rather good deal.
I was actually looking for this set of bookmarks every since I saw that promotional mini poster in Kinokuniya. Never had I expected to find it at a cosplay event. Now I do not have to buy 20 Evangelion manga volumes just to get the entire set. Sweet! Then again, I just might get them if I make another trip to Japan.
Anyway, I have scanned the complete set and uploaded it in a zip file. For those interested, you can get it here.
This year’s EOY was kind of a screw up for me.
First of all, I woke up at 1pm. I had orginally planned to wake up at around 9am, so that I could reach then EOY venue at around 11am-12pm. Seems like I was in such a deep slumber that even my alarm could not awake me. Oh well.
The next screwed up thing would be the camera. My mum took both the Casio and Sony digital cameras to Korea, so I was left with a crappy Fujifilm camera which uses XD cards. The camera’s package did not come with any XD card, and XD cards cost a bomb, as compared to SD cards. Not having the cash, I skipped the idea of getting an XD card, and just went direct to the event. Screw Fujifilm and their overpriced XD cards. I should sell this camera soon, and top up some cash to get a better camera.
Anyway, I went to EOY at 4pm with nothing but a camera that could only take 8 pictures. I decided I had to save the 8 shots for cosplayers who were really awesome. After paying 12 bucks for the entrance fee, I met up with Zer0 and Windbell. It was then Windbell told me that there was a really hawt Rei cosplayer with bandanges. Immediately, I decided to save all the shots I had for her.
One of the best Rei cosplays I have ever seen locally. The other was one which was equally as awesome was at Downtown East during the Cosfest 2007 finals.
Despite my crappy photography skills, and the inability to take a photo with proper background, I present to you the best cosplayer of EOY 2007.
