Hopes and Desires

And so rises the dawn of a new year.

fmp-wind-33.jpg

I’ve never had the habit of setting any resolutions, probably knowing that half of my self-promises would never be kept. This year will not be any different either.Hopes and Desires, however, are different. Resolutions are targets and goals set upon oneself, while hopes and desires are similar, just that they are set upon others. I guess this makes me a sneaky evil bastard. Heh.

Anyway, here’s what I hope for, in no particular order of importance:

  • Go to Japan in March/April (/glances at Windbell =P)
  • Watch the upcoming second Evangelion movie ( I would have to be in Japan at a specific period of time to do that)
  • Kyoani to release 4th season of Full Metal Panic (They better release it… or somebody’s going to get hurt, real bad)
  • Alter to release the long-awaited 1/60 ARX-7 ( Damn… these guys are taking their own sweet time :<)
  • Japanese Yen to plunge (For selfish reasons… But I’m sure many other people hope for this too)
  • Bump of Chicken to at least release a Single ( They might… they might not)
  • Gainax to churn out quality Evangelion goods ( Not some half-ass effort production)
  • Meet Rei in Real Life ( I did in EOY 2007, and I hope for another rare encounter in Cosfest 2008)
  • More awesome Rei figurines (Apparently, there’s a intense shortage of this…)
  • More Kino !!! ( I need more Kino dosage… The second movie in 2007 wasn’t enough to satisfy my appetite)
  • A new shelf ( I have totally no space for any additional manga)
  • A tree that money grows on (If it was even remotely possible for such a thing to exist, half of my desires would have been fufilled)

It seems like my list is getting more retarded as it rolls on, so I shall put an end to it. Some people must think I’ve lost it.

And finally, an enjoyable 2008 ahead for everyone.

Thank you all for supporting this blog. I appreciate it (^.^)

LOL at the Russell Peters reference.

But oooh! If you’re going to Japan in March/April I shall be looking forward to lots of pictures!

And yeah, I really hope that the exchange rate for Yen to SGD will either stay as it is (it’s pleasantly low as compared to the 1000 yen is to SG$15 scenario of old) or hit a nice low Yen1000 = SG$10 or less. Mmmm.

hmm why don’t you go to Japan in August instead? Comiket, Wonder Festival and C3x Hobby Festival are all in August :D

soshi > haha 1000 yen to S$10 is impossible. Even S$12 flat is impossible lol

ron~ > If I go in late march/early april, there’s a chance that I don’t have to go alone. But if I go in August, I would be going alone, and that would take away half the fun =(

Have faith. :] When I came to Tokyo 4 years ago it was 1000 yen to 15 dollars, or 66 yen per 1 Sing dollar. Now its floating in the range of 78-80 yen to 1.
