Unless you have been living under a rock without any internet, you would know of the popular online shop named Amazon. We, anime fans should know it exceptionally well, as Amazon Japan is one of our few sources which we can obtain our limited edition Region 2 DVDs, as well as our anime soundtracks. Too bad they don’t ship games or figurines. If they did, I would be frequent their services.
Anyway, that’s not the point of this post. The main juice is stated in the title. In all of Amazon’s entire online business history, do you know where is the furthest destination they have shipped to, and what was shipped? Since this is an anime blog, this piece of news has definitely a link to anime. <hint>It’s a DVD</hint>

It appears that Amazon Japan wins the Guinness World Record for dealing with Amazon’s Furthest Delivery. The most extreme shipment contained a Full Metal Panic Fumoffu DVD. The destination? Alaska. Anime fandom and the Internet knows no boundaries.
And it also looks like someone in Alaska needed a slice of humor to keep himself warm from the harsh winter climate.
In probably a century or so, we might even be seeing shipments consisting of anime DVDs being sent from Amazon Japan to otaku astronauts in the space stations. That would be something to look forward to. LOL

Actually, Alaska having nothing but igloos is quite a misconception. It’s actually a small city in a frosted piece of land. Imagine a larger, less dense populated Singapore in a winter climate.

Igloos still do exist but not much and now there are towns in Alaska too. But still quite hard to imagine singapore in a winter climate although it will be pretty cool. Whats most shocking is that people in alaska watches anime. Cool~ lol
