An Edge 2D Has Over 3D : Siscon

The siscon fetish has a soaring popularity among the fans of 2D. Heck, I even touched on a bit of it in a previous post. I suspect it might be as well sought-after like other well-known themes such as Nekomimi and Megane. When such themes are a huge hit among otakus, they tend to take take the initiative, bringing things to the next level by borrowing the concept from 2D, and integrating the concept into 3D. Visualizing just isn’t enough to satisfy some needs.

For Nekomimi fetishes, it is unfortunate that humans are unable to grow real cat ears, and the poor otakus would have to settle for females who don headbands with those furry ears. As for Megane fetishes, it is realistic, as there are glasses in the real world. However, it is so realistic, many end up disappointed and feeling cheated. As opposed to the 2D world where the beauty of the ALL meganekkos’ exceed any unimaginable standard, only an extreme minority in the 3D world appear really attractive in glasses. The rest are either average or worse, invoking a nauseous sensation on sight.

Like the 2 themes mentioned above, Siscon is no exception. Stay on to find out why.

In the 2D world, your younger sister would be extremely moelicious, with her sweetness resulting in your diagnosis of mental diabetes. She would most probably be a student, so you would be able to wake up to her cutely greeting you “Ohayou Oniichan!” in her kinky seifuku.

In the 3D world, chances are, kawaii or moe is no way to describe how your imouto looks like. She would probably be a student, but instead of donning a seifuku that you would droll over, her uniform sucks ( this is exceptionally true in Singapore). She greets you by smacking you hard on the head. That isn’t cute in any sense, and it’s a bad way to start the day off.

In the 2D world, your younger sister would prepare a sumptuous lunch for you, and cheerfully invite you to have your meal. Such is the envious life of a male who has a 2D sister.

In the 3D world, lunch comes out of your own pocket. Not only do you have to buy your own lunch, you have to cover your sister’s lunch expenses too. This wastes precious time that can be spent in the fantasy world with your 2D imouto-chan, and also precious money which can be buying bishoujo figurines for fa- erm… drooling purposes.

In the 2D world, your younger sister would wait for you after school, just for the purpose of accompanying you back home.

In the 3D world, you are forced to go out of your way to bring/fetch your younger sister to/from her lessons, which again wastes a hell lot of precious time.

… is Evil and Sucks

In the 2D world, when your younger sister requires your help, she would politely ask you, together with her kawaii smile.

In the 3D world, when she requires your assistance to help solve a network connection problem, she would yell out loud and make huge whole fuss for you to go to her aid. Until you solve her problem, your time on earth would be living hell for your ears and mental state.

This can only appear in the dreams and fantasies of siscon fanatics

As seen from the astounding differences between 2D and 3D imoutos, I can safely conclude that majoity of the otaku community have no experience with 3D imoutos. I am sick and tired of some people constantly ranting to me about how awesome it would be to have an imouto, and the burning desire for one.

If they have had the experience of the 3D versions of their favourite fetishes, a good 50% or more of those siscons fanatics would no longer ever have the same views towards imoutos again, be it 2D or 3D.

As (mis)quoted from Genshiken, “Only people without younger sisters would have a little sister fetish”.

Especially true. And yes, Singapore’s school uniforms are definitely not on par with say, Japan’s standards.

  2. 2 TheBigN

You might be idealizing the 2D siscon a bit more than it actually it. Maybe it’s because I have real-life sisters that I say that. :P

  3. 3 Stripey

Actually I think it’s quite the opposite. It is because the 3D imouto is nothing like the 2D that why there’s a yearning for the ideal 2D variant.

That said, there are RL imoutoesque girls who behave like sweet pampered girls around boys they like to get attention from.

TheBigN > I have a real life sister too, and those “examples” aren’t exactly listed out of thin air

  5. 5 Hidoshi

    Wow.

I’ve been on the internet for like, 15 years and incest still bothers me.

  6. 6 requiem

Actually Japanese lil’ sisters do make you lunch. In general girls in Japan are socially conditioned to feel the need to please men. This leaves foreign guys astonished and foreign girls pissed off.

For completeness, employees, also seek to please employers in ways that would seem ridiculous to us, like, if you notice the boss is feeling cold you are supposed to close the window and turn on the heating. And no, he won’t ask for it, you are expected to read his mind.

Furthermore not only is he not going to ask for it, you are not supposed mention it, in fact you are supposed to feign that you do it for your self, not too convincingly but more tsundere.

Japan can be so cute its scary.

Wow. 2 siscon articles in a month!

What you need is…. Rei as a imouto. No feeding required, no having to take care of her, no “Asking help from Onii-chan”. Problem solved.

    I would prefer a Haruka-neechan anyday.

  8. 8 double

requiem > Japan is weird is some ways. Or should I say… many.

Windbell > So… you prefer an older sister? lol And yes, the last picture of the post is supposedly the best picture ever since FAP’s birth.

  9. 9 Kaori

LOLol! this is so amusing XD i have no siblings, though. But i know of sister-sisters who are really close and the younger sisters are really sweet to the older sisters and do what you gave examples of 2d @_@
But i suppose sister-brother r/s is more different..! XD

I don’t see what’s wrong with Singapore school uniforms. From what I’ve seen on the web they seem okay. Try living in America where everyone just wears jeans and t-shirts to school every day. That gets old very fast.

As for zettai ryouiki, forget that. I even read an article maybe a year ago that said that American companies that make stockings and tights are in financial decline because women in America don’t wear stockings much anymore. Things are getting bad out there…

  11. 11 double

Nergol > If you compare Japan’s school uniforms to Singapore school uniforms, you’ll see what the problem is. Sucks to see girls in jeans and t-shirts every day though.

  12. 12 Runddelen

I have to look up those words on wikipedia…

… found articles explaining “nekomimi” and “megane”, but nothing on “siscon”. Maybe someone could write it.

If this refers to falling in love with your sister, hm.. it doesn’t seem right. Japanese culture appearantly has a lot of things that would be upsetting to a westerner, if you at all were to understand what it represents. Because the point of those characters, the theme, you may not understand them at all. Perversion made to look cute.
