Just when I thought my figurine expenditure was stagnant, I received news of my preorders coming in. 3 preorders. This is my first time collecting 3 scaled figurine preorders in a single trip, so the it felt rather good despite the damage exceeding $150. The difficult part, however, was the lugging of the trio back to the safety of my home. Avoiding unwanted crushing of the boxes was no easy feat.
Since I marathoned all 26 episodes of Major Season 3 just yesterday, I feel rather sluggish. No proper photoshoots because of that, and also because my digital camera has crappy macro focus.
First up, Miss Plugsuit.
And now for the dynamic duo.
It’s been quite a while since I have had such a satisfying figurine purchase. Out of these 3, I felt that the Rei figurine was the best. The base is really unique. I did not realise that the base was actually Eva Unit 00’s head until I has a closer look. Rei’s hair looks a little weird though, but more Rei is a good thing. You can never have too many Reis.
The Fate/zero pair had an interesting connection between them, as their bases could be fitted together to make them look as though they were one. I had a rather hard time fitting Saber to the base, as the peg was probably too big for the hole. I was really afraid that Saber’s legs would snap if I applied too much force. On the other hand, Kiritsugu’s base was easy to fit.
Actually, the Fate/Zero pair were impulse preorders, but after taking a good look at the two, I felt that it was actually worth the cash. They do not emit the Moe aura, but an aura between a mix cool and GAR.
I certainly look forward to future purchases as such which make me feel really good, instead of wanting to knock myself on the head for making stupid purchases. Let’s hope I don’t succumb to sheer impulse and preorder any crappy figurines this year.
I think the most I ever had at once was two, but there was one week last year where I received five figures in three days. Only two of them were actually released when they were supposed to, but the other three had their release pushed back so it piled everything up in a short period. ^^
These 3 figurines were supposed to be released in December, but it seems that the shipment was delayed, and hence all 3 came together.
how much do all these 3 costs? Just curious XD

Just ordered Atelier Sai Mai Kawasumi pink ver instead of saber at play-asia… was tempted to get Mai since I wasn’t been able to get the kotobukiya version…

Samejima > I don’t really like Atelier Sai. Sticking to the Trinity (Alter, GSC, MaxFac) is still the safest assurance of quality goods.
WHat about Kotobukiya? The sculpts and quality are good too. Majority of my figures are kotobukiya.
IMO, Kotobukiya’s figurine quality isn’t as constant as the other 3.
