Yesterday’s post was FAP’s 200th post. Technically, it should not exactly be counted as 200 posts, considering some short crappy posts with to link to anime I wrote when I was hosted back on wordpress, but no matter.
Anyway, since this post is the first to pass the 200 mark, I decided I should post on something I have never touched on before. All this while, I have been writing posts that were related to anime. Today, I will be posting about the people who watch anime and post about it. That’s right, the anime blogsphere, or more like some of the local blogs which I frequent. If I did both local and non-local blogs, this post would probably see no end.

The girls of Genshiken shall grace this post
Here goes.
Anime Desho Desho : RIP, it was great while it lasted. ADD’s murderer? Real life, and maybe laziness.I would gladly welcome ADD’s revival, but it doesn’t seem to be happening anytime soon.
RIUVA : The slowdown of posts were getting more and more obvious ever since RIUVA evolved from a solo quest into a party. Again, the culprit behind this is probably real life. The recruitment of additional party members was probably for the better, or we would probably be seeing weekly updates. Currently, the only readable posts are those with normal titles, or titles beginning with [LianYL], but those posts are not as frequent as they used to be. For the past few months, BRStick and the occasional decent post by Tripeman himself are the lifeline of RIUVA. Sadly, both of these are slowing down. Noooo!!!!
The Ramblings of Darkmirage : At least he still updates. Judging from the post pattern, it seems that for every Gundam 00 episode summary posted, the next would be a normal post. This roughly amounts to about 2-3 posts per week. At least the episodic posts are unlike those of a typical summary post. Darkmirage’s episodic posts are actually one of the few that I actually enjoy reading. Man, I wished he would update more, but then again, who am I to say this?

Moeside : Photos and photos, which is a good thing. I suck at photography, so I like figurine review and cosplay pictures. Windbell does them rather well. Pictures of Moe girls ain’t all that bad either too.
bj0rn : Needs to update moar!!!
zeNIME : No longer any anime blog, it seems. Anime must suck that badly for it to evolve into a music blog.
THAT anime blog : This shouldn’t exactly qualify as a local anime blog, but what the heck, I shall just take it as it is, since Impz posts there. I know episodic reviews have been the bread and butter of THAT, so I only read when there are posts of non episodic reviews.
The Fool’s Progress : zer0’s ( now known as 0ne) the Otaku Grand Uncle, so he writes about stuff which other anime blogs wouldn’t even dream of. I read his blog every time a new post arrives, but unfortunately, I have this problem named “Commenter’s block”.

Please don’t get the impression that I only visit these few blogs. This is only a mere fraction of the blogs I read. I’m just plain lazy when it comes to listing all the blogs out.
On a whole, the current situation the anime blogsphere faces is overpopulation. There are simply too many blogs out that, with majority posting about anime episode, as well as some blogs reposting what others have posted. It has come to the state where standing out of an anime blog from another difficult, which is probably what causes the premature death of some blogs. It’s sad to see a blog die out, especially if you have been a reader of it for quite some time.

I am no distinguished animeblogger myself, but hey, anime blogging is all about having fun and writing about what you have a passion in, and your readers having the same fun reading your posts.
For some time in the anime blogsphere, it has been a dry season but hopefully, rain starts pouring soon.
Interesting post. Well not to mention, your blog is really different from others too. =) Btw what anime are those girls from? seems nice.
Hmmm, it is true. Anime blogging is like the last thing on my mind now, and I am barely even watching anything besides MAJOR s4, Gintama, Gundam 00, Kekkaishi.
The main use of my time at the moment is a) my beloved Guardian Force and b) School work. The way my time table is scheduled is such that I barely even have time for lunch!
But you can count on a revival during the holidays I guess. My results for last semester were so terrible there is no way I can continue the way I was heh.
FAP FAP FAP
Hmm..maybe you’re right..
I saw many new anime blogs here and there and that causes overpopulation..
Well, I’m one of the new ones myself..hehe..
But I’ll try my best to be on of the best.
Those girls are from the anime “Genshiken”.
It’s a pretty good anime..
Eh, as long as it’s quality, I don’t mind the lack in quantity (any epic posts like the Arisa Mizuhara interview on DarkMirage and I’m good).
It is hard to cover new ground with so many bloggers and so large of a backlog that anything you talk about will probably have been covered. But then again, I’m not much of an imaginative writer, so I won’t come up with something awesome-worthy regardless =P
@Choo: “The girls of Genshiken shall grace this post” So… from Genshiken?
Yeah, Guardian Force does takes alot of time away. I only catch a few ongoing series now, as compared to before, when I actually do delve into the older series.
Err… do I put myself in the category of “Genshiken girls who graced this post?” o_O lol.
it’s sad to see the slowdown of great blogs, but of course we shall all live-on, may it be in blogging or IRL. \o/
I just hope our blog is not one of those contributing to the “bloated overpopulation” in the community o__o
“anime blogging is all about having fun and writing about what you have a passion in, and your readers having the same fun reading your posts.”
yay fun! \o/ I enjoy reading most of your posts double, you’re like the next anime/blog comedian, after tj, at least for me xD
I’m quite new to the anime blogosphere (otakusphere) myself, and I’d hesitate to say overpopulation. What I think there is is a proliferation of similar blogs. But as IcyStorm says, if it’s proper quality it’s less of an issue.
Choo > Thanks for the complement.
tj_han > I’ll be looking forward to RIUVA’s revival.
DrmChsr0 > Have fun fapping.
Setsukyie > Just have fun blogging. That’s the most important thing.
IcyStorm, IKnight > I prefer quality over quantity too, but I would like to have both quality and quantity together =)
§oL> You need more MP. Drink some mana potions.
usagijen > Thanks ^^ I’m honored by your comment.
