I'll probably wait till my computer can support HD before finishing Dennou Coil though what I've seen (the first half) was pretty good. It sounds like they haven't seen Kara no Kyoukai though, as I've heard it's amazing and even better than Eva 1.0. Some characters were thrown by the side (like Shinji's classmates) so it really doesn't give that 'warm, happy, ordinary (relatively) life goes freaky when Kaji gets killed, Asuka goes psycho and Shinji just becomes his true self' feel. But I'll have to watch the rest to see if they're really going to keep it like this. I didn’t think it was really that much of an improvement over the original Evangelion.
