Anyway, your predjudice must run pretty deep if you can find a way to rationalize women viewing sexualized/romanticised images of young boys for sexual gratification as being … non sexual(it makes no sense at all!) and at the same time condemn men for doing the exact same.

I know several women who look at shotacon and I’ve seen many others who I don’t know personally. It’s not hard to find them. Lolicon and shotacon is popular across the net. You know why those girls like it? Because it TURNS THEM ON. I’ve heard their fantasies. Deal with it. They aren’t you, you aren’t them.

Also, I do not look at shotacon myself. I just don’t like to sit back and do nothing while watching hypocrites like you.

I’m a girl and I like shota, but not hentai. It’s not like I’m attracted to the shotas in any way. I don’t want one for a pet or, for that matter, a brother. I like it in the same way I like Hello Kitty or some sweet top at the mall. Because it’s cute. In real life, I only like guys my age, give or take a year or two, I’m certainly not a pedo!

I’m sure that there are some girls that like shotacon because they are pedophiles, but trying your reasoning as to why some people are pedophilic quite resembles late 19th century reasoning as to why some people are homosexual. To be certain, pedophilia is a more serious issue than homosexuality, but that does not give this approach validity.

i think that’s one of the worst explanations i’ve ever heard. granted, i know that some of the things you said are true of my sister, who loves shota, but i also like it, and although i don’t have a little brother, i am very close to a lot of boys who are younger than me, and i know how annoying they are. also, they aren’t sexually appealing at all, but not because they’re ugly, simply because anime and real life are very different things. you can’t judge the kinds of attractions a person has in real life to what they like to watch in anime. you can never make anything in life as simple as you have made this explanation or you will just end up being horribly wrong.

Hmm… I’m a guy, and I first started looking at shotacon when i was a teenager; i’m 18 now. I’m straight, for that matter, but it just comes down to what’s attractive and what’s not. There’s just some sort of qualities in a youth that some people find attractive. The Greeks often found this; there’s communities of people who love Yaoi and Shotacon who are straight men and not 50-year olds.

With that said, i RARELY look at Shotacon now a-days. I look at Yaoi or Hentai more.

I know women who are teens that just love shotacon. It’s just something fun to do and look at for them; as to WHY it’s fun it varies. But people enjoy it because it’s cute to them.

i disagree most shotacon fans are younger girls in the teen range. we like it not because we are pedos but because they are cute and it is sometimes softer and more innocent than yaoi. and besides there is more shota anime than loli so there lol
