Gainax would definitely not stop at the TV anime series. After all, we should have had higher expectations from the master of cash milking. See what they did with Evangelion? They’re going to milk Gurren Lagann fans twice that amount, since Gurren Lagann has a combination of boobs and GAR. Say GAR-BOOBS 10 times, really quickly!
Nothing much else is known beside an official movie announcement which appears in the next Newtype volume released on 10th March.
Rest assured that it can be trusted. After all, it’s the Tokyo Anime Fair website we’re talking about. How wrong can they be?

tj_han > That’s how they milk cash with ease. It’s a traditional skill they learned since more than a decade ago.
I can’t see how GL can be condensed into 90 minutes.. they’d have to split it up into the three parts (Kamina’s death, Nia’s appearance, time-skip) but then you may as well just watch the anime. Considering the animation quality of the anime, there’s just no incentive for any GL fans to watch condensed movies of it.
I want something new but I guess GAINAX will do something stupid like the above anyway.
