Seriously, that’s one thing that I can never do properly.
For example, look at this picture. How old do you think she is?
I guessed 20-21.
Before I reveal how old she is, I had better do an introduction about this lass. She’s Okamoto Rei (岡本玲), a teenage model, actress and soon-to-be singer. Her debut single 「teenage days」 is scheduled to be released on 26/3/2008.
A slight comment on her soon-to-be released single. The music’s alright, but the english lyrics in the song such as “Kiss my ass and say goodbye” screwed up the style of the song. I certainly hope she wasn’t the one who wrote the lyrics.

And now for her age. I expected her to be a couple of years older than me, but in actual fact, she’s actually younger than me. Born in 1991, She’s only 17! And so, she can call me oniisan, even if I look younger than her!
It could have been all the make up and the cameraman’s photography skills that made her appear much more mature than her age.
However, even in this candid shot, I still couldn’t deduce that she was 17. Man, either she really looks more mature than she really is, or I just plainly suck at age estimation. Chances are, it’s the latter.
This isn’t the first time I actually over-estimated a female’s age. The last time I did that was for Narumi Riko (成海璃子), the actress who plays the role of Hagu-chan in the Honey and Clover Jdorama.
Maybe from now on, I should make really low guesses about the age of females. That way, I’ll get more accurate answers. Even if I’m wrong, females all want to feel and look young right? They shouldn’t be offended by me guessing an age younger than they actually are. Or they might even be flattered by my guess!

I wish there were actually cute girls like her in my life. Unfortunately, they all fail.
Looking at pic #1, I thought she was around 18 or 19. After looking at pic #2, I thought she was at least in her mid 20’s. If you suck at age estimation, then I’m so bad I fall off the suckage scale.
She looks 18 what. Japanese feed their kids growth hormones to get bigger boobs and the side effect is earlier puberty so they can sex up.

I also thought she looked older in the 1st picture but I estimated her around 15-16 in the second one. Part of that was my suspicion of photographers and make up artists who can make child stars look much older. x.x
that’s right bro, never over-estimated a female’s age. when in doubt, just say 18. girls like to be call 18. ^^;
She looks young, but I would’ve guessed her around 20-21

hahah… same thing here…. I totally thought that she was much older too… and as for Narumi Riko, when I first saw her in “1 litre of tears” I thought she was the older sister … lol… but it turned out she is the little sister… but yeah, she does look alot older than she really is XDXD
I actually thought “21″ at first. And I thought you’d be revealing that she’s really 14. I guess I also fail in age estimation.
