The website for the upcoming Gurren Lagann movie is up!!!

ROW ROW FIGHT THE POWER!!!

Currently, there isn’t much on it. Only a mere index page that states some information about Gurren Lagann in Tokyo Anime Fair 2008, and that the movie is scheduled to be released in Autumn 2008, something which we all already know.

The first feature for Gurren Lagann in TAF2008 would be the special set-up stage event happening on 29th March, the first day open to public. Titled 「春だ！ドリルだ！グレンラガン祭！！in　TAF2008」, which translates to It’s Spring! Drill! Gurren Lagann Festival!! in TAF2008, the performance will last for a short 30 minutes, from 11.20am to 11.50am. It’s probably going to be a talk show since all the main casts’ seiyuus are going to be present.

The next feature is Gainax’s booth. It will be present on both days (29/3 and 30/3), each day having a different activity. On the first day, there will be a live radio public recording done by Simon, Yoko and Kamina’s seiyuus together with some other guests. The next day will be another talk show done by the Gurren lagann cast’s seiyuus.

The last and final feature is the Aniplex booth. It is only featuring Gurren Lagann on the first day(29/3), with yet another talk show as the booth’s event.

Man, talk shows and more talk shows. I wonder if there is really going to be any interesting content in them, or if they are just there to draw the crowd.

That’s all that’s stated on the website for now, so I’m guessing a whole river of new information and updates will start flowing in as soon as the first day of TAF2008 begins. If you’re in Tokyo from 27th to 30th March and have nothing planned, you might want to head down to TAF2008 held at the Tokyo Big Sight. 27th and 28th March are trade days, so if you can obtain a press pass, it’s best that you go on those days. Squeezing with the rest of the crowd on the days open to public isn’t exactly something you would want to do in such an event.

It looks like TAF2008 isn’t going to be as boring as it seemed.
