Koizora : Cry Moar Please

I’ve always wanted to watch Koizora ever since I knew that it was coming to Singapore. Nope, it wasn’t because it was some box office top seller. It was for 4 reasons that I watched Koizora.

What Would Takaki Do? What Would You Do?

It was a fact that Takaki lost all contact with Akari. All contact, meaning not knowing her phone number or mailing address. However, what if he all knew where she was studying at? Let’s turn back the clock and go back to the train scene just right before the couple parted. And from there, let’s make some changes to Byousoku 5cm’s history.

Just before the train departs, Takaki asks Akari what school she is currently studying in, and she replies. Just as she does that, the train doors shut, with the last words from her to Takaki being the name of her school.

Evangelion 1.0 Tickets And Evangelion 2.0 Release Date Prediction

Like many fellow Singaporean bloggers, I have finally got a chance to catch Evangelion 1.0 on the big screen locally. Even though it is the second time I am watching Evangelion 1.0 in the cinemas, I was equally as excited as those who were doing so for the first time. For those of you who were wondering what’s there to be so excited about after having watched it once already, the answer to that is Evangelion Fanboy Instincts (EFI). I just made up that term a split second ago.

Nakanomori Band - Electric Girl

I’ve been a really free man for the past week, leading a rather hikkikomori-like lifestyle for the past few days. The only time I went out was on Wednesday for a barbecue. The rest of the time was spent in front of my 2 screens.

To kill some boredom, I decided to explore some artistes which I had never tuned in to before. And so, I chanced upon Nakanomori Band’s newest album, Electric Girl.

Why Chara-Ani?!?! WHY?!?!

Remember the upcoming special DVD release of Evangelion 1.0 on the 25th of April? I thought that it was the most complete Evangelion 1.0 DVD out in the market. 2 DVDs, a special illustration box, and a film strip.

Now, Chara-Ani has to screw around with the Evangelion fan that resides within me.

Please Help Me Lighten Shana Off My Burden

I’ll keep this short, since this post is just to help me clear my Kotobukiya Shana preorder.

shana_kotobukiya.jpg

It was a totally impulsive decision. I don’t even watch Shana season II, and I don’t even like Shana now. Since I am void of even the slightest bit of passion to obtain this figurine, I might as well let it of to someone else in Singapore who loves Shana much more than I do.

The total price is about S$67 and it’s from KKnM. After the S$10 deposit, it comes down to around S$57. If you are interested, you can leave a comment here. If you feel like being a nice person, you can offer to cover for the deposit too. Even a few dollars would do. I would be really grateful is some Shana fan out there would do that.

No more impulse preorders from now on! >:( Time to save for something of higher importance.

Factors Attracting Anime Blog Readers To Return

There are 2 types of blog posts. The first type are the ones that gain views which last for a couple of days before they are forgotten about. The second kind are the ones which still gain views and even comments, despite going off the main page of the blog. To make referring an easier job, I shall name the types A and B respectively.

Madarame, Sasahara And Ogiue

The Genshiken manga may have ended, and so has the Genshiken TV series Season 2. Despite that, how can we forget one of the greatest works that touched on otaku issues?

akibakko-11655648404119.jpg

The purpose of this post is to classify otakus into 3 general groups. I know there are tons of otaku classifications out there, floating around in cyberspace, but all of them are really specific and are unable to include every single type of otaku in at least one category. On the other hand, my classification is so general, you would definitely be in at least one of the groups.

Mojibake

This has got to be one of the most irritating things. Japanese text is already alien enough to many people, but when it turns into real incomprehensible gibberish, things get worse. That’s what Mojibake (文字化け) is.
