Why I Love Spring

Here’s why I love Spring.

new_spring.jpg

It seems to be the season with the most number of awesome anime.

At least for me. In 2007, many great series began airing. Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, the GARest Gainax ever produced, Darker than Black, Claymore and Bokurano are just a few to name. I’m not saying that the other seasons have sucky series, just that Spring has better. I haven’t been watching much anime until the new season’s anime began just recently. I managed to break out of the slum where I lost almost a whole lot of interest in anime, and now I’m back on the track with my healthy dosage of anime.

So what am I watching this season? Code Geass R2, Macross Frontier, Toshokan Sensou, Soul Eater, The Tower of Druaga, Blassreiter and Real Drive. I’m also watching some of the series that have aired since past seasons. That’s a temporary list for now, which will probably grow on as I find more time to watch more, since there are a few interesting series that I’ve yet to check out. School’s starting tomorrow, so it might be a little tough picking up a few more series. Then again, I’ve never really paid attention in class or did my school work, so why not? Heh, I’m such a bad influence.

Sakuras bloom at the beginning of Spring

This only applies for Japan, not Singapore. Hanami is awesome, and so are Japan’s parks in Spring. Damn eternal summer.

Weather and temperature

There shouldn’t be lots of rain, and the temperature should be between the high side of the tens and the twenties. It’s as though Mother Nature has decided to be kind and install natural air conditioning. Winter’s another good season too, where the outdoors are cold and there’s pretty snow. Still, it can be a little too cold at times, so Spring’s still much better. I can’t stand hot weather, so I hate summer the most. Too bad I’m in a country that has it 24/7.

See, I’m not a total otaku with all my reasons! Anyway, to everyone who happens to read this post, enjoy this year’s Spring while it lasts ^^

Disappointment for this year then. El Nino occurs this year.

I like spring too (except for the rain right now)…. The winter is generally too cold and the summer too hot (nature doesn’t believe in a lot of moderation here) so spring is great.

Setsukyie > I’ve yet to experience autumn, as of now.

tj_han > Yea Major and Gintama are weekly staples.

    blauereiter > Yikes! The heat!

Caitlin > Autumn’s good too, but I prefer looking at flowers in bloom, rather than red leaves.

Tiny Red Man > Don’t remind me about school >_>

Brian > The smell of wet leaves? Now, that’s the first time I’ve heard of that.
