Well, when my non-otaku friend saw me reading this NSFW anime mag, he didn't mind it at all. He said it was "fake anyway". I pity those guys in your class lol. Just some panty shots and they get excited.

I doubt I'll escape this kinds of experience once I graduate from secondary school D:

It's always sad when people think about stuff like that. One time I brought a magazine to the class and there was an atricle on gundam seed in it. One guy in my class wanted to read it and I let him, but then he ended up staring at an ad for Xchange (h game, it didn't show anythingm but the shot had the giel show quite a bit of clevage). And then people people keep thinking that mange is so full of naked people when it's only simple series like negima and loveless. I wonder how people will act if they saw some of the more provactive scenes of Air gear (it isn't even all that bad), they'll probably start wailing or something.

Hehe, I have a similar problem, I'm in poly now, from the school of FMS from Ngee Ann.

Whilst I have the benefit of classmates who really couldn't care less, mainly 'cause I watch anime with no explicit content during class's more boring moments (I.e. D.Gray Man, mainly cause I started that series before it became so popular, Code Geass R2, Full Metal Panic Fumoffu! and the like) but do indeed fear to open up an episode of To-Love-RU mainly 'cause judging from their attitude, quite a bit of them'd rail on me as a "HENTAI LOVER ZOMG!!1!!"

True, I have read my share of unclean doujinshi (and keep a few Haruhi ones >.>) I am by no means a Hentai lover...

There are some who are more open and can see To-Love RU is no Hentai production, but that some compared to many.

And I was from a all-boys secondary school too, wasn't very eventful, except a friend, who pushed F/SN on me, and hence got me kinda started on anime, attended class with me, and everyday I thank christ for that....

I am in JC now but I still have retards coming up to me and upon seeing that I am watching anime on my MP4, they would start screaming hentai like small kids. (Though I have some doujins on my MP4 but its not the point.) Others think that Bleach rocks the world and keep playing the Bleach / Naruto songs on their phones.

On the other hand, those people who have some knowledge on anime, were totally different. Everytime there was some fanservice, they would say been there done that. They surf 4chan and stuff so this sort of stuff is no longer new to them but its really irritating for me as I am trying to listen to the anime.

So I guess there are good and bad points about knowing people who watch anime and do not watch anime.

Asuka > At the start, they weren't really looking at my friend's screen. A few minutes passed and after a couple of fanservice scenes, they started staring the screen intensively and I'm pretty sure I heard some moans of excitement from them. The sounds and intensity of their stares grew with each scene.

"With each fanservice scene, their level of excitement leveled up."

LOL. How so? What signs did they exhibit that made you come to that conclusion?

I generally don't read anything anime or manga related in class, especially since there are toom many childish people here. On rare occasions though, when its really boring, i read a manga or video game manual on the low.
