Wow, time really passes in a flash. It feels like only a couple of months since I started, but on the same date exactly a year ago, I started my blog hosted by wordpress. Starting an anime blog was somewhat on impulse and I wasn’t really thinking much about the future of this blog. I eventually got my own domain and hosting in December. That was another impulsive decision, one that struck my mind while I was idling in class. I seem to have a thing for sudden decisions.

For once, it’s a good thing to be Shinji ^^
The initial name of this blog was supposed to be Anime Arue due to the influence I’ve had from Bump Of Chicken’s song with the same name. Arue sounds like the R.A, which happens to be Rei’s initials. Still, it sounded rather weird for a blog name. I went on with the intention of changing the name although I had the first post published already, the permalink still remaining with the old name which was used for less than a day. At that time, I had just completed all 3 seasons of Full Metal Panic which I totally loved, so I thought, “Hey why not name it Anime Panikku?”. And so I did. Later on, 0ne (formerly Zer0) gave the suggestion of adding the Furu infront so that the acronym of would be FAP (I modified it to FアP so that it would sound less crude). That’s how this blog’s name came to be.

Rei Cake to celebrate FアP’s birthday. I want one for my own birthday too!
I first started off with the mindset of using my blog as an channel for all my rantings and thoughts about anime, the otaku culture and Japan. The thought of interacting with the readers or the community wasn’t exactly on my mind. After all, no one seemed to be reading or commenting when I began. However, the number of readers and comments grew together with this blog. What used to be less than hundred page views each day evolved to a current average of slightly more than 300 unique visitors daily. This growth was one reason which strengthened my resolve to write more for both FアP’s readers and myself.
If you’ve actually noticed, majority of my posts somewhat reflect what happens in my 3D life. In fact, you can roughly infer what I’m going through in real life from some of these posts. I often wonder how I relate so much of real life to anime and the otaku culture. I like my posts to have a personal touch, since it’s much enjoyable writing in such a way, even if it seems unprofessional.

Alright, I’m stopping my rant here before this drags on and on and end off with this entry’s primary intention.
Thanks for supporting Furu Anime Panikku, and hopefully on the same date next year, there’ll be The Second Impact. I’ll try. In the meantime, I’ll just keep up with the frequent posting and spreading the love of Rei and Mana.
これからもよろしくね ^^

FAP FAP FAP!
Instead, why don’t you use ‘Second Raid’ next year? =p

Who cares as long as you’re having fun doing it. That’s what I tend to do as well, and I don’t feel any shame in it.
Happy anniversary. :3
Happy Anniversary- albeit a day late.
