The Japanese Otakus have once again proven that they are the Spartans of the consumer world.
Within a mere 3 days, all copies of the recently Evangelion 1.01 DVD set have been wiped complete clean off the streets of Akihabara and even Amazon Japan. The whole horror began on 24th April, a day before the official date of release. On the 25th, comrade Major 0ne reported that there was an abundance of DVDs everywhere in Akiba. Who would have known that a sudden massive raid would occur?
It was said that the sales were so aggressive to the extent that in a certain shop, a copy flies of the shelves every 10 minutes. Since stock’s out everywhere, I’m expecting to see a insane price raise on this DVD. Also, I read on a certain Japanese site (I can’t remember where though >_>) that restocks won’t be coming in soon until September 2008.
Good luck to those who missed out on the preorders. If you’re really desperate, I suppose you can settle for the normal edition due for release next month.

I doubt they will be bringing in. Even if they do, there won’t be the extra goodies. Anyway, for how much are you willing to part with your Rei Filmstrip?
