Akihabara : A Look At Its Electronic Side

As expected, a visit was once again paid to the holy otaku mecca. One can never get too much of Akiba. This time, however, anime shops were not so much of the day’s focus. Sure, we went to shops such as Animate, Gamers and the like, but the interest that day was the electronics shops. After all, Akiba isn’t named Electric Town for nothing.

Evangelion, Mankind’s Last Hope

And this Cospa T-shirt, the last fresh clean T-shirt that I possess in Tokyo.

Shibuya And HMV : The Second Raid

It was nightfall by the time we were done with our Byousoku journey, but it was still rather early, since the sky turns dark at around 6pm in Japan. Since Shibuya was just a few stops away, we decided to head over for some photo taking. There was a HMV at Shibuya too, so I was planning to grab a couple of CDs there, as well as help a friend get something he requested.

Yoyogi Park : Hanami Once Again

In order for our Byousoku trail to continue, we had to pass through Yoyogi Park, a rather huge park between Harajuku and Yoyogi. Or so I think we had to. I wasn’t sure of the way, so I just followed Windbell around and snapped whatever I fancied with my camera.

Upon entering the park, it felt like there wasn’t many people around, but I was proven wrong when I went further in. Look at the photo below and you will understand why I first thought this way.

Shinjuku And The Byousoku Trail

Here’s Day 3 of Japan. We went to a number of places today, and covered quite some distance.

Since Windbell did a post on the Byousoku 5cm spots in real life, there’s no point in reinventing the wheel. Hence, I wouldn’t be posting the same stuff he posted half a year ago. Instead, I’ll just post whatever photos I have taken and leave it for you to find out which part of Byousoku 5cm it appears in.

Actually, I’m just lazy and I didn’t bring any pictures along with me during the journey, so I wasn’t exactly sure of what to look out for. But hey, now you’ll get a mix of Byousoku and non-Byousoku photos, and it’ll be like some spotting game. Sounds fun right?

Familiar, isn’t it. Everyone who has watched Byousoku 5cm would definitely know of this place. Now, that’s too easy for everyone. Let’s start from Shinjuku.

Here goes!

Ueno Revisited : Hanami In Ueno Park

Once again, Windbell and I made a trip to Ueno. This time, it wasn’t for karaoke. It was to take a look at the cherry blossoms that have bloomed in Ueno Park. It was my first Hanami experience, so I was really looking forward to it. This will be another mass photo spam post, since there is no other way better to express the beauty of the Sakuras.

Meeting The Tokyo Stormtrooper

Woke up slightly earlier today at 9.30am, so I had a little time to tinker with my laptop before we set out for the start of a brand new rainy day. Bleh. I hate rain in chilly weathers. My hands were so stiff from the cold that I couldn’t even take out coins from my wallet properly.

Anyway, we met up with Danny and Hector at around 11.30am for lunch, which happened to be at a Chinese restaurant. The food was rather good and talking over the meal was really enjoyable. I wasn’t the one who was talking much though, since I was rather clueless about what to talk about. Also, meeting the man himself in person felt a little somewhat like meeting a celebrity.
