Even If You Suck At MMORPGs, Don’t Do This

mmorpg_comic.jpg

The situation above actually happened in real life, but that classmate of mine will probably never see this anyway. A word of advice for people who decide to do such stuff. QUIT PLAYING MMORPGs!!!

But seriously, how can people suck at levelling up in MMORPGs? It’s one of the easiest type of games that one cannot suck at, even if you try to.

And in case you think I’m try to start my own web comic strip series, I’m not. This is merely a one time effort as I couldn’t find a better way than this to express my thoughts. Forgive my pathetic artistic talent, for I can only draw but stickmen.

Well, I actually don’t play one, but I know that it’s actually not hard but VERY time consuming. So maybe he is sharing the account so that when he don’t have the time to play, the others can.

Oh my god! And I thought that RPGs were the scum of the computer gaming genre pool already.

I lost quite a huge part of my poly life to guild-raiding in WoW (lvl 60 rogue pre-bc, lvl 70 hunter post-bc), but those were fun days nevertheless, made quite a few friends from around the world too (and had met them when they visited or I visit their countries).

It’s seriously amazing how some people can spend lots of time leveling up their characters (or have trouble lvling them), and at the end of the day still are clueless on using them to their fullest ability. But I guess idiots do exist within this world.

Either way, I don’t intend to touch another MMORPG since I quitted WoW (tested Hellgate London abit but that’s just meh~), and doubt I’ll have to time to spend on another once I hit the books once again in Uni.

Well, RPG’s still have a lot going for them, but MMORPG’s will eat into your life, wallet, and general health…

I’m not one myself, although I have seen many a friend of mine swear that they’d sell their WoW account, in fact, one even told me he’d be quitting in September 07, and it’s May 2008 now…..

Just goes to show how addicting leveling or doing boss raids JUST for the sake of your character can be.

And you can’t SUCK at leveling, leveling is a test of patience, a terrible and painful one.

Yeah, leveling is all about patience. WoW is certainly faster now from 20-60, but some other MMOs still take ages. It’s a grueling experience, but MMOs can be extremely fun with the right people.

My opinion of true MMORPG gaming is to level and grow together with your character, understanding all aspects of it through the levelling journey. I simply despise those people who buy gold, pay for power levelling services, or in this case, get others to do the dirty work of levelling for them so that they can enjoy all the high level benefits without having to waste their time.

I agree with you double, and also, since its MMO, interaction with other players is important. I do DIRTY work btw like running missions… -sigh-

I stopped playing MMORPG and am not going to pick up any that’s advertising on my local television. They usual develop from FTP to PTP.

There are true instances where friends come together and share an account; each specializing in an area they like. The world of MMORPG is huge, there are many aspects and frankly one cannot give enough attention to all. One player might be working on a character’s equipment while the other is more focused on leveling the character itself. Positively, we see it as diversification. Negatively, we see it as “cheating”. Either way, we have to give the players credit for that amount of time wasted on their characters.

I’m more inclined towards 1 player to a character, be it for security or experience reason for I like to be in touch with my character.

And yes, I’m guilty of wasting my life away in-game.

yes…agreed. I have also tried some MMORPG games before..But after this years that I had started working, I notice that It is really horrible time-consuming….Duh.

Will only play RPGs or other mini games now..
