Look who’s gracing the DVD cover of the regular version of Evangelion 1.0.
Due to the limited edition being sold out almost everywhere, fanboys and girls who missed out on the limited edition but want a copy of Evangelion 1.0 have no choice but to purchase the regular edition, no matter what the cover is. Hence, there’s no doubt that preorder sales has been excellent for the regular version, with it holding 9th position on Amazon’s DVD sales ranking. Still, much more can be improved.
Here’s how:
1. Print Rei on the cover
For the normal fanboys. If they had such a cover, I’m definitely getting my copy even though I already have the limited edition.
2. Print Kaworu on the cover
For the fangirls, especially those who love their bishonens emitting yaoi vibes.
3. Print Misato on the cover
For the fanboys who love older women.
Either of the 3 will definitely bring in better sales for Gainax, but sadly, they just had to print our beloved Shinji-kun. Still, I’m thankful there’s no Gendou. He freaks me out, seriously.
as a eva fanboy i’m sorry to say since singapore is not bringing in the DVD, i’ll have no choice but to resort to fan subs. i do not want a region 2 DVD as there is no subtitle. gomen nasai.
Innoform going to release the Code 3 DVD on 13 May. I think it comes with some bonus features.
@0ne: Ah, that’s good to hear! I have a feeling that I’ll still get the regular region 2 DVD in the end. D: Shinji needs support!
