Just reinforcing what otaprince said, Gainax is not responsible for the Rebuild of Evangelion… it’s been made by Hideaki Anno’s studio, Khara Studio, so I also believe that the Gurren Lagann movie has nothing to do with 2.0 movie’s delay.

thanks for the info– Dec 2008 sounds about right– if it were earlier we’d probably have already seen promotional material/website and an announcement. As Gainax has nothing to do with the production officially besides co-owning the copyrights in Eva I doubt the film was delayed cause of Gurren-Lagann. Khara and Anno seem to be just taking their time.
