During our trip, we stopped over at Nagoya for a night as my friend’s grandparents had a friend living there. Our stay there was short, so we only had time for an aquarium visit.

I took quite a number of photos in the aquarium, but most of them turned out really crappy due to the poor lighting, so there’s no point posting them.
Just beside the aquarium, there’s a mini amusement park. It’s been ages since I last been to one, but after being to Disneyworld back when I was 9, other theme parks pale in comparison. Sadly, I was under the minimum height requirement back then, thus missing out on a lot of fun rides.
The next day, before we left for Hakone via the Shinkansen, we took a brief stroll around a certain area that seems like business district. There was a park on top one of the buildings, and it’s really peaceful. Definitely a nice place to enjoy your bentou.
That’s all for Nagoya for now. There wasn’t anything that interested me, since the places we toured were few. I was more than looking forward to my virgin trip to Akihabara, which we would be visiting a couple of days after Nagoya. I was so caught up in marveling over the goodies in Akihabara that I actually forgot to take photos there!
The next and final installment of this series of post will be of Hakone. It’s one heck of a beautiful natural place, and you can see Mount Fuji if you’re in luck.

Nagoya!! I have to get out of Osaka some time soon…
Aquariums are win, but it’s too difficult to take decent pictures in them - loved your dolphin pic btw
Nagoya sounds like fun! I’ll be stopping by for a couple of days so it’s good to hear that it isn’t just cement and tall buildings.
The whale skeleton looked positively evil! =D
Japan has such beautiful scenery. Looked like it was a fun trip!
issa-sa > Get out there and take some awesome photos for the rest of us!
Soshi > It was a waste that I only spent a day there. Show me more about Nagoya ^^
Ez > Now that you state it…
Yamcha > Yup, it was real fun.
Love ferris wheel pictures. Is it just me or did they all look deserted though? I’d love to take a trip there regardless.
Well, it was a weekday then, so I guess most people were busy with school and work.
