Hurray, yet another Bump of Chicken release. This time, it’s an album with all their past singles’ B-sides compiled. Running at 13 tracks, the last song, Present, is a totally brand new track.

Simple design does the trick
While I never liked “Best Of” compilation type of albums, this is an exception that’s totally worth a purchase. Although the tracks may be labeled at B-sides, BoC’s quality is up to the level where their B-sides can actually pass off as A-sides. Talk about superior quality.
I shall not talk about the 12 songs that were once released in the various singles, but I will focus on the new song instead.
Present
If you have heard the first and last track in BoC’s 2nd album The Living Dead, Opening and Ending, this song is an extended version of the 2. I really like how the song gradually increases the emotion in both the tune and the vocals. Although I have not taken a look at the lyrics, there’s no need to doubt Fujiwara Motoo’s poetic talent. Just his name alone is enough to ensure top-notch verses.
Besides this album, the PV for 真っ赤な空を見ただろうか is out too.
It’s rather plain, just like the cover of Present From You, but I guess it’s the simpleness that’s the PV’s attractive element.
There are no other BoC future releases announced as of now, so I’m guessing it’s going to be quite some time before their next single release. My guess is early 2009, since they’re rather busy with their Japan concert tour now.

ooh opening + ending! i always liked that and they released a full version yay!
there’s no hidden track in this album rite?
would u want 2 watch their concert or hav watched before? :p
There is! It’s Believe (Demo Tape version).
And no, I have not been to BoC’s concert since I don’t live in Japan. I’m really hoping to go for one though. They should consider releasing some of their concert footage on DVD for fans who are unable to physically be there.
serious..? ~ there’s a continuation/err prelude to Believe. hope HMV have this CD..
yea…me too;wanna catch them live one day too..sigh.
i’d buy their dvd right away..heh..instead of dlding old recordngs from torrents..
tx! ;D
The Believe (Demo Tape version) is something like a behind the scenes of their audio recording.
And no problem. It’s always great to know one more BoC fan ^^
