I must be the last PS3 owner on the face of the planet to start playing Metal Gear Solid 4. Work’s to blame for the delay.
Anyway, let’s cut it short and sum up some of my thoughts regarding the game as of present.
1. MGS4 feels like a game in a movie, instead of a movie being in the game. Good thing I bought a HDMI cable which replaced the default cable that came with the PS3 package.
2. The counsellor lady is freaking hawt. So is the female scientist.
3. My favourite weapon is the P90.
4. Whenever I hear the word Akiba, Akihabara doesn’t come to mind. The clumsy diarrhea dude does.
5. Snake’s voice wins best seiyuu award in the game.
6. I suck at MGS. I just can’t help dying. I’m stuck at the first boss fight with that laughing octopus thing, LOL.
7. I have to get a switch and an ethernet cable quick. I’m dying for some online gameplay, even if point 6 is so true. The PS3’s irritating wireless connection isn’t functioning properly.
8. This doesn’t relate to the game, but I can forsee rather screwed up grades for my mid-semester test week (next week!!!). I wonder why…
Now if you would excuse me, I’ll try to smash those metallic tentacles again, for the 6th time and counting. I wonder how I’m going to fare in the final boss fight.
Did you try putting your controller to the second slot? /joke
I’m not so sure, all I have is a PS1 here with the VR missions. I can only help with murder mysteries, and taking down giant genome soldiers =(
Count yourself lucky that you have the game, I want to play this but don’t have the means to. orz.
At any rate, have fun with the game. And be sure to tell tales of your epic boss fights and numerous controllers thrown at the screen in frustration.
Yay, I finally cleared the first boss. Not much of an achievement, but what the heck, I get to move on with the game’s storyline ^^

If you don’t know Rose I guess you haven’t played MGS2? And I prefer Mei Ling and Meryl. ;P

Him and Meryl share one of the coolest scenes in the game, though it’s pretty cheesy.

Just so you know, using a non-lethal weapon on their beauty (human) form gives you their face for use with the Face Camo. You can also bump into people with the MkII during Mission Briefings to get new faces.
I found 2nd boss easier than 1st boss bleh
