This happened last week during the 10 minute break, so I couldn’t exactly recall the whole conversation word for word. Still, the gist of it is there.

Besides my role in the conversation, there are 2 other people whom we shall name as Peter and Mary. Peter’s the guy mentioned in this post, while Mary… I don’t really know much about her except that she reads Claymore, probably watches a crapload of anime, and is a Japanophile.
Alright, here goes.
Mary : Hey, are you going to the Singapore Toys and Comic Convention next weekend?
Peter : What’s that?
Mary : Some convention which probably features manga, toys and anime.
Peter : Speaking of which, I just got my first figurine recently.
Me : Hmm? When did you get it?
Peter : A couple of weeks back. I actually wanted a Fate Testarossa but I didn’t preorder. I went to KKnM but the stock they had left was only for preorder collection.
The rest of the class : Huh? What’s he talking about?
Me : You did hear stories of the figurine snapping because the top’s heavier than the bottom, right?
Peter : Really?!
A girl who only had a single line : But if your top’s heavier than your bottom, wouldn’t you be walking on your hands instead?
Me : LOL!
Yes, all this and a little more unrelated stuff took place under 60 seconds.
Before this, the class probably thinks that I only watch Japanese doramas, since I did mention some a couple of times. Now, I think I probably gave away my true identity when I said “You did hear stories of the figurine snapping because the top’s heavier than the bottom, right?”.
Oh well, at least they don’t know that I’ve a room with walls plastered with wallscrolls and posters, and cabinets half filled with pretty plastic girls.

Or your entire class could be regular visitors to your blog, and are deliberately keeping quiet about it. O.O
YOU ARE FAMOUS!
We shall find out during the next lesson.
Dum dum dum.
C.I. > I hope not, lol.
tj han > NO I’M NOT! BUT YOU ARE!
The Sojourner > Next lesson’s Monday.
Panther > Uh…?
It seems being an otaku/japanophile where you live is a very big deal, considering how much you fear(?) people finding out your true identity.
Nah, it isn’t really much of a big deal, since Japanese anime is quite the mainstream thing here. Still, I try not to reveal too much. No matter how trivial it is, being looked upon as an otaku isn’t exactly something to be proud of. I think.
well you enter army, you will get bigger reactions, except, guys are giving those reactions instead.
Hmm, I don’t usually talk about figurines but quite a number of my friends know I watch anime.
It is a 4Chan phrase meaning “uh oh” or “drumroll” type thingie lol.
There is a chance ‘Peter’ might be into reading blogs. I await the day he finds this place. Most p.robably he has yet to since he is not aware he is the other otaku in the class
Let’s hope this doesn’t get to him, lol.
