After their expensive Kamina and Yoko, EyeUp does more Gurren Lagann. Come September 2008, a series of 6 Gurren Lagann phone straps will be released at 840 yen each.
I would not get all of them, as I can’t use them all anyway. Maybe I’ll just get 1 or 2, if they actually make it over to Singapore. I doubt that’s happening though, since EyeUp isn’t exactly very well-known, even though the quality of their releases look awesome.
The SD Simon in Lagann and Simon with the core drill are my favourites. Kamina looks a bit weird, and Yoko looks oversized horizontally in SD form. And who the hell’s Yakuza Rabbit? Anyone knows?
Visit the EyeUp Blog where you can view the individual images of the other 4 strap mascots. It’s nothing compared to Mika-tan’s blog, but still, there’s some interesting bits and pieces. I really hope EyeUp gets the opportunity to expand further and eventually be on par with companies such as Kotobukiya, Alter, GSC or Max Factory. That way, it’ll be easier to access their releases.
