The last time I bought a stick poster set, it was the Full Metal Panic stick poster set that had the posters filed up in some sort of album. Before that, it was the Evangelion stick poster set. This time, it looks like I might be getting this Gurren Lagann set too.

A complete set is an entire box containing 16 different types of designs. It’s probably just going to be like the usual 8 regular posters and another 8 ones with the same design, except shinier. The price for an entire set is 4200 yen, and 14 August is the release date stated on Animate’s site. As not all the designs are revealed in the promotional images, I’ll only know what the rest of the poster designs are only after I’ve made my purchase.

This is probably going to end up like the rest of my stick poster collection; kept safely in their boxes, never to be display. It’s not that I refuse to display them, but I just can’t find the right way to. The size of these posters make it hard looking for the correct sized frames. I don’t want to use over-sized frames as it’ll turn out looking rather weird.
Does anyone who purchases stick posters actually frame them up? If so, it’ll help a whole lot if you share your secret method.

In other related news, there’s also a scheduled release of the Gurren Lagann Parallel Works DVD too, on 24 September. It’s going at 3150 yen, and preorders are already up for grabs at Amazon Japan. As much as I like Gurren Lagann, I’m not certain if I’m snagging this. After all, only one or two of the Parallel Works were really awesome. I particularly like the one with Yoko and Kamina battling it out. Other than that, the rest’s just unimpressive.
With all this promotion for the movie going on actively, I simply can’t wait to catch it in cinemas. Hopefully, Gainax doesn’t disappoint.

The few stick posters that I have I didn’t frame them up, but I still put them up on display above my cupboard area. It makes good decoration ^^.

WHAT? KAMINA AS THE VILLAIN AND VIRAL AS THE HERO IN THE OL’ WEST WASN’T GOOD ENOUGH?
T_T
Hirito > Nice room decoration, but I think it’ll be better if I can frame it up.
C.I. > Buy the DVD then.
These are cool. Is there a website online where I can buy a box?
Wow, is there any website with these posters that will ship to america?!
