RADIO EVA: Overpriced Wear for Ninja Evangelion Fans

I’ve always thought that the Evangelion X BEAMS line of clothing was overpriced, despite their innovative designs. Then came along RADIO EVA, boring designs and overpriced cloth.

Why, this looks like any dull Polo Tee.

Guess how much it’s going to cost. It will blow your mind away.

EVA RADIO hits Eva fanboy wallet for 10290 hp. Eva fanboy wallet dies.

The only things that screams Evangelion on this piece of cloth is the PenPen logo and the buttons. Even so, they aren’t really obvious from a distance, especially the buttons. The perfect wear for a closet fan who has too much money to spend and doesn’t love design. Someone whom I’m not. If I had this amount to spend on otaku attire, it’ll be going to Cospa instead.

Since it’s anime and the otaku culture, innovation has to play a huge role in the design of such merchandise. No way will I settle for such stuff which I can get at stores such as Uniqlo or Giordano, unless the prices are similar. It’s rather retarded to pay almost 10 times more just for the brand and the logo.

Other overpriced yet decent designs include the following:

Decent prints on the t-shirt, indecent price of 6090 yen.

Another indecently priced t-shirt at 8190 yen

I hate stripes, so I won’t wear this even if it’s free.

Bah. With all the talk about overpriced otaku wear, I’m suddenly reminded of how badly I want a Broccoli Angel T-Shirt. I just might be able get one or two of them locally, since I heard that KKnM’s has already placed orders for it. Arael for the win.

That orange-and-white shirt is very pretty, but I’d never pay that much for a shirt, EVER D:

The orange and white shirt is pretty but everything else reminds me of the worst of the ’80s. That striped shirt in particular is almost painful to look at.

The striped tee reminds me of the stereotypical prisoner clothes. The orange and white shirt’s nice, but just too darn expensive. If it was around the regular Cospa price of 3045 yen, I’d be grabbing it.

    those shirt are expensive!!!
the eva unit one shirt looks cool and the stripe is nice

    @ otaku dan,
    u have weird tastes. O_O

whoever wear that striped t-shirt out on the streets will get laughed at, or worst beaten up.

The orange & white t-shirt looks the best amongst the 4.

The striped t-shirt is just totally wrong, like what Gordon has said, “whoever wear that striped t-shirt out on the streets will get laughed at, or worst beaten up.”

While the Unit-01 t-shirt is rather neat, though only someone who watches NGE will realise that, the Unit-01 hidden in the background with the green portion illuminated. Otherwise, it just looked like some random design to outsiders.

Nonetheless, pricing them at around 8,000+ yen is way too exorbitant.

Im agree with Jacques. The T-shirt prices are extremily high. The designs are cool and simple but the prices….arent. LOL
