I Think I Will Turn Blind Faster Than I Expected

And even if I don’t, the raditation emission is probably going to kill me faster than you can scream “MOE!”.

It’s been a long time since I ever went to an IT sales convention as a customer. The past few times had me working my ass off. This time, I actually get to spend some moolah. Whee!

My previous 19-inch monitor was really crappy. You know the saying that goes”You have to hit to to make it work”? Well, that could definitely be applied for that ancient piece of junk. I’ve not the slightest inkling as to why I even made such a foolish decision to purchase a screen from Acer.

I’m really satisfied with Samsung’s screen quality, hence my choice of purchase. Now I have 2 Samsung screens, with the primary at a resolution of 1680 by 1050 pixels. Sadly, the HD-ready 26-inch that functions as the secondary screen is at a resolution of 800 by 600 pixels. My pathetic 2 year old graphic card can’t support anything more than that. I guess it’s really time for me to upgrade my entire desktop.

On another note, I’m going to meet the exchange student from Hiroshima whom I’m hosting over the weekends in another 8 hours or so. Sadly, this exchange group doesn’t have any females >_< Still, I’ll get some moonspeak practice, so it’s not going to be that disappointing. I hope.

8600 Extreme for 99 SGD is a worthy buy and should last you some time. Otherwise, get 8800 GT. Both can be found at Bell Systems at SLS.

lol pointless to get a second monitor when one of them can’t be used to their advantage @_@

Shit, that means my 42” will give me cataracts soon.

Ooh, interesting. I’ll bear this in mind, as I’ve been considering getting a new monitor soon.

Good luck with the exchange student, too.

The homestay’s over already. It was quite alright, and I’ll be posting on it after some rest. My legs are tired out from all the walking >_>

Considering your figure, manga, etc. collections, it seems you likely get a lot more money than I do. Shouldn’t you have gotten a decent monitor/TV a long time back, especially since you have a PS3? I picked up my 32″ HD Samsung TV a year ago and it’s still just as awesome, though my computer sucks too much to play HD mkv videos.

I find it strange that your graphics card doesn’t support the full resolution of the HDTV.. even my crappy graphics card (64MB, really old) works for me. Or is it just because it has to be used for two screens at once? If that’s so, why isn’t the bigger screen set up as your primary?

I had a 26″ since a year ago already. Now that I already have a new rig, the problem of the resolution and the mkv playback has all been solved.
