Purikura 2

I visited Nagano today for a 1 day trip, and met up with some friends over there. It was more than normal that we took Purikura. Before this trip, the last time I took a Purikura was almost 8-10 years ago. Yet, I’ve broken the streak, with 2 Purikuras taken in less than 2 weeks.

In Tokyo

After riding trains for almost 8 hours, I’ve finally made it from the south to Tokyo. The first thing I did after checking into the hostel was to head down to Akihabara for dinner and a little shopping. I had dinner, and literally did a little shopping.

A Day Of Wandering Around Ooita

I came back from Ooita not too long ago and had quite a ball of a time wandering around some areas. I didn’t do any research before heading out, so I just went to whatever places that I fancied while strolling along the streets. For once, not having any plans is a good thing, since it feels more like embarking on a short surprised-filled adventure.

20th Century Boys Live Action Movie

Earlier this afternoon, I managed to catch the movie at the cinema in Canal City Hakata. I was actually planning to do a post on Ooita first, but it’ll be better if I did this first while it’s still fresh in my mind.

Purikura

I’m satisfied even though I’ve only slept 2 hours last night. If you knew what’s going on and what I did, you might say that I’ve gone nuts, but that doesn’t matter.

It’s been a long time since I last took a Purikura

Meeting Japanese Strangers

My friend had to head to his part-time job again, so I settled dinner at an okonomiyaki shop nearby. It turned out that a surprise was awaiting me.

While I was waiting outside the shop for a seat, there was this family waiting too. A shop attendant came out to take orders, and when it came to my turn, I had to reveal the fact that I wasn’t Japanese. It was really nice of the shop attendant to speak slowly so that I could understand what he was trying to ask.

In Oomuta

I arrived at Fukuoka International Airport this morning, and I’m currently at my friend’s house in Oomuta. The train ride from Hakata station took much longer than I expected. The train’s timetable stated for it to arrive at sometime around 10.50am, but it took almost half an hour longer than it’s scheduled time. This is the first time I’ve seen a train schedule in Japan delayed by such a difference.

Off To Japan

This isn’t my first time heading over to Japan, but this is the first time I feel extremely excited, yet a little uneasy. After all, this is my first time leaving the country, alone. For 16 days too.

Teaser

Figure it out from the following image.

If you can’t figure it out, look at the tags.

And if you still can’t figure it out, wait for another 2 to 3 weeks.

Xam’d Is Pretty Good

Besides Macross Frontier and Code Geass, I’ve not been watching any other anime, be it currently running or long completed. My anime drive has died down considerably, possibly due to fatigue from work and other factors. It’s no wonder why it’s been ages since I last wrote a post related to anime.

Hence, when tj han mentioned Xam’d in one of his 5-minute written rants about how crappy the current season anime is, I decided to give it a try. After all, his taste in anime and mine seem to be pretty similar, judging from recommendations from his posts in the past.

I was hooked.
