He did make a half body appearance in chapter 279, but not a single word was spoken. Hence, 280 should be the official chapter in which Kei finally revives.

I’m glad that he’s back, since I like Kei much better than Katou. Kei’s laidback, cool and never afraid to flaunt his perverse personality. On the other hand, Katou’s the goodie two-shoes, exemplary perfect oniichan. Since I like characters who have a fun personality, it should take too much to figure out why I favour Kei. It’s a pity that Kei lost his memory though. Poor Reika’s going to be so heartbroken.
Anyway, now that Mr Ecchi has returned from the depths of hell, this is the first time I’m actually looking forward to the next chapter ever since the Osaka arc began. The past 20 chapters or so have been quite a bore, with the 100-pointer creep being seemingly impossible to exterminate. To maintain it’s excitement level, Gantz must never have a draggy plot.
With a new arc soon to be embarked on, I hope the thrill level bounces back into full drive, starting from the next chapter. THE WORLD’S ENDING IN ALMOST A WEEK!!!
Until then, it’s another long 2 week wait. Darn, why can’t Gantz be a weekly serialisation >_<

I have high hopes for the new arc as well and I too also wish it was a weekly release, I need my fix. The whole Osaka arc dragged for me, I liked the gore as always but they could have cut the arc in half and still finished it just fine.
Oh well, here’s to hoping Gantz picks back up.
double, could you leave spoilers until after the jump? Or is this not going to change?
Gyffes > I totally agree on how the length of the Osaka arc should have been halved
LWL > The previous chapter has been out for 2 weeks already, and Kei was revived in the last page, so I don’t see any problem with me posting about his comeback before the jump.
Yay. I’m glad he’s back as stories become a lot harder to hold interest in once the main character gets killed off. With them deciding not to revive him in one of the previous chapters, I was getting worried that he may not come back considering how many other characters died and how few got revived. Then again, it would probably kill the manga’s popularity if we didn’t get Kei back.
I remember being interested in how his brother was a vampire and the possibilities it could hold for the storyline. My memory isn’t all that great about this but didn’t he die? I think I remember him dying after trying to help Kei, then Kei dying soon after and how the mangaka seemed to have quickly cut off a bunch of things that had been introduced. I’m hoping that Kei will bring his brother back for some reason.
Kei’s brother shouldn’t be able to be revived by Gantz, considering the fact that he never played the game.
Ah, forgot that important detail. Total waste, I think.
