Due to my Japanese lesson, I missed the mini announcement session Dentsu had yesterday, which almost everyone from the local otaku scene attended. Drats!
Anyway, despite not being able to attend the event, information does spread fast over the net, and now everyone and their loli knows that May’n’s heading over to Singapore for the AFA08. Hurray! Looks like I’m going to fork out some cash for something more than the normal seating.
Besides her performance, I’ve heard that there’s going to be a autograph session. Now that, in my opinion, has got to be the neatest thing ever in a local anime event.

I just arrived back from Japan not too long ago, and boy am I glad that I purchased the Macross Frontier singles. The Lion single even came together with a complimentary not-for-sale postcard! I’m definitely going to get all these 3 autographed, if possible.
Other news include figurine makers gracing the event, the Jump Super Anime Tour making this little island it’s final stop, and lots of goodies waiting for the mecha fanboys and girls. Personally, I’ve lost my figurine collecting drive, so the first piece of news doesn’t really excite me as it would excite the many local figurine collectors. Something has got to be seriously wrong when you head over to Akihabara, Ikebukuro and Nakano, and leave with only a couple of CDs, mangas and totally zero pretty plastics.
I simply can’t wait for 22nd and 23rd November to arrive.

It’d definitely be packed, considering the limited seating area. Would be layout be akin to STCC? Time to bring out the big guns (lens) for this one…
