Furu Anime Panikku

While I was in Tokyo, besides being a cosplayer, I played the role of a photographer as well. I did a brief cosplay photo shoot of Bangin and his friend. Both of them were cosplaying as characters from Mirage Blaze, a really old shoujo manga which I have never heard of until Bangin told me about it. I doubt many of you have heard of it before either.

Actually, this can’t really be counted as cosplay, since the clothes as regular, but I guess it all boils down to how you perceive it as. For example, some people might say that the Shinji cosplay wasn’t a cosplay, while others might think otherwise.

While this isn’t my first time conducting a photo shoot, my photography skills have not really improved much since I started off with my DSLR. I really need to know how to handle exposure, since I have a little problem with some outdoor shots being overexposed.

Bangin

I’ve just chosen a photography module as my elective for this semester, and hopefully, I’d improve under some guidance. The first lesson begins tomorrow, so I’m rather excited about what might be taught. I’ll be bringing my point and shoot digital camera instead of my DSLR to class tomorrow though, since I doubt we’ll be doing much at the start. I’ll draw out the big guns only when there’s a need to do so.

Anyway, since Bangin and his friend are the cosplayers, this is only a teaser, with the main focus of this photo shoot located at his blog. For those of you who have yet to visit his blog, he’s quite an active cosplayer, with his Lelouch cosplay in the Zero costume being his best, in my opinion. Do check out his cosplays.

P.S. I really hated the mosquitos in Ueno Park. Ack! >_<
