This was my final Purikura I took during my trip to Japan.
During my stay in Tokyo, I met up with Sakari and some of his friends for a day of fun around Shibuya and Harujuku. Along with him came 3 of his friends, 2 of which were exchange students like him, and the last one, a Japanese student whom he met at some school festival. I really envy them being exchange students as I would probably never get to the opportunity immerse myself in Japan for an extended period of time like what they are doing. At least not while I’m a student.
This meet up increased the vibrancy of my trip, since I managed to interact people of various nationalities. I doubt I’d have the time to embark on such a journey again, since various commitments devour all my free time remaining. The only time I’d be to do so would probably be 2010, unless I can somehow squeeze out a short break in 2009.
Anyway, since I mentioned the vibrancy of my trip, here’s an unordered late summary of some of the more interesting stuff I did for my stay in Japan:
- Entered a typical Japanese High School.
- Stayed at a Japanese friend’s house for almost a week.
- For the very first time, I wrote a letter in Japanese.
- Ate a load of great food. The various ramen throughout the trip was really delicious.
- Spoke possibly the most Japanese I would have ever spoken in a time span of 2 weeks.
- Met exchange students from Phillipines, Finland, and U.S.A .
- Made a couple of people over the net jealous because they think I have a harem. I really do not.
- Bought an 18-only doujinshi even though I’m not 18, yet.
- Sang karaoke twice. I do suck at it though, and really badly.
- Had dinner with a Japanese family whom I was a total stranger to.
- Cosplayed, as well as did a photo shoot for a cosplay.
These are the main stuff that left an impression on me, although I’m sure there are many more which I might have left out due to my failing memory. This is definitely one heck of a trip I never ever want to forget.

ハーレムとかまじウケるっ!!
I lol’ed at the harem part. Delicious ramen is delicious.
what’s with the V sign anyway?
satomi > ハーレムが好きの人は多分オタクしかいない。
Panther > Are you part of the jealous ones?
gordon > What’s wrong with that?
The V sign is outdated!! Now it’s \m/ キラ☆ !
What I like about ramen is that the egg yolk in the eggs are made in a special way.
Yay, I’m in yer blog!
me too! haha.
Hirito > That’s only for people who watch anime.
Sojourner > Surprisingly, most, if not all the ramen I ate had no eggs in them.
Sakari > Hehe ^^
sol > Hurray, you found my site!!
I watch anime and I like the V sign..haha, but I’ve seen the use of \m/ because of Lucky Star..Lol!!
>> Spoke possibly the most Japanese I would have ever spoken… and there will be more to come!!
