And I Thought I Could Embark On A Zombie Massacre Tonight

Upon knowing that the Left 4 Dead infection has arrived at the shores of Singapore a day earlier than the release date, a friend and I immediately rushed down to grab ourselves each a copy of the game. We wanted to embark on our horror adventure as soon as we could. Despite not having pre-ordered the game, we were pleased when we found that the game came packaged together with a mouse pad and poster. Gleefully, we made our way home from the game store, ready to battle the undead horde.

I was all prepared to sleep at 3am tonight and be late for lessons tomorrow, but this message just had to appear and ruin all my plans.

Instantly, my high spirits died as though a gazillion zombies were chomping on it. I was expecting the game release to be like World of Warcraft’s Burning Crusade, with Singapore and similar countries ahead in the timezone receiving the game first and laughing at those at the other end of the globe for having to wait almost half a day longer. Apparently, this doesn’t work for the games on Steam.

Looks like it’s back to killing time with the demo stages until the official release. It’s so near, yet feels so distant.

Anyway, here’s some rather interesting screen shots I took while playing the demo together with some of the guys from #SGAnimebloggers.

No, the images aren’t what you perceive it be. It’s just the Hunter zombie trying to kill Joey, but failing badly because we’ve got god-mode turned on.
