Just like everything else that has a life cycle, figurine collecting does have its’ cycle too.

It’s no surprise that many who watch and love anime eventually transform into fans, enlisting into the cult of figurine collecting. This serves as a channel to express their love for their favourite series and characters. This is the start of the whole madness, with roughly 3 stages. I’m sure that everyone who collects has been through something like that.

It’s been a couple of months since I watched BECK back when I was in Japan. I needed something to help me kill time on those long train rides, especially the 7 hours from Hakata to Tokyo, and I randomly uploaded BECK into my iPod Touch. Before BECK, never had I come across anime series of the music genre, except for Nodame Cantabile which I’ve heard of but yet to watch or read.

I finished the series way before my trip ended, and ended up watching it over again, not because I had nothing else better to do on the train rides. Rather, it was because I found myself enjoying the band’s performance, especially their epic live at Greatful Sound in the last few episodes. Ever since then, I had always wanted to write about BECK, but the idea somehow got lost along the way.

It’s been quite a while since I read somewhere that Radwimps was working on their new album, but I never expected news of it to be out so soon. On 11 March this year, they will release their 5th album, which has an unreleased title. I’m sure they’ll impress Radwimps fans yet again with a collection of awesome melodies and a unique album title.
