Viper's creed doesn't seem to develop the characters in the 1st episode, kinda reminds me of Ga-rei zero's 1st episode, less talk more action. Hope it develops more of the characters later in the series and explains why the heck is that guy so gungho and doesn't give a damn about his operator's commands. Rideback is far more awesome at this moment.

Who care if mecha look a like that how japanese are they like the idea of mecha. but there is only so many ways you can make them. Also I would watch Vipers Creed over IGPX any day because for one IGPX looks like another kids anime with bright colors to keep them watching it. You can tell Vipers Creed is for the more mature anime watcher.

I agree with TP, in regards to practically giving up on the new shows that have come out in the last few years.

I've been an anime/manga fan for quite a while, yet I haven't watched any anime in the last 2 years. There just hasn't been anything that I think compares to the older animes that have been released. Except for the recent Ga-rei Zero, nothing has managed to catch my interest at all.

Although I am excited about the new Fullmetal Alchemist series!

I have yet to freaking watch the first episode, when I saw the resolution for the raw I was like "No widescreen?"

Oh well I will wait for subs, this was going to get a 3-episode test from me anyway.

A certain blogger might've already answered your predicament, double.

Well, the crux of the story is: as we're exposed to more anime shows, we've come to like and dislike certain series/genres/shows depending on what kind of tastes we are looking for. As such, we got this impression that the quality has degenerated over the years of exposure to our fandom.

For me, I practically gave up on new shows, and have decided to concentrate watching on older shows that have been critically acclaimed (a.k.a. blogger-critics), or are simply known for their lulz. (Shall I get an Aria: The Natural Part One?)
